So glad I watched this. My 17 yo is in a program that requires a bun and she has very thick hair. I always struggle to pin the whole thing. Separating the hair into two sections should solve that problem.

I think they use stretch ribbon or at least that what it looks like some teachers don’t like stretch ribbon so it depends on the studio and teacher my teacher doesn’t allow stretch ribbon so I have to do the 2 separate ribbons😅❤️
You have some of the most beautiful straight hair I have seen. Be really picky whom and what you allow near it :-)! I had great healthy (although not as thick) hair as a teenager and lost it due to stress, the pill and using different commercial hair products that were full of harmful chemicals. I eliminated all these factors and no longer listen to the marketing of hair salons and instead have become very picky about clean ingredients. Luckily my rapunzel hair has grown back, but it has taken years.
@@EmmaWhyte-oz8bl yes you can still do it. Just do the ponytail and then split it into 2 or 3 parts! Easy peasy! Your’s will just be a bit smaller bc your hair is thinner. ❤
