What stood out most was your dedication to teaching us about humanity-how to treat others with respect, have integrity, and stay true to our moral foundation and values. I’m not sure if you remember this, but once I called Melford an illegitimate child, using the ‘b’ word 🤣😂. You made me look up the word because I had no idea what it actually meant when you asked. I had to read the definition aloud, and then you asked Melford if it was true, and he said no-HAHA! You had a heart-to-heart with me about being respectful and not calling people names, and that lesson has stayed with me ever since. I’m grateful you’re part of this journey with me because you, as my teacher, were a key part of the village that helped shape who I am today. Thank you for bringing out the best in me ❤️.

I travel with just a carry-on and a backpack. You can check out a photo of my luggage on my RUclips Community page. You’re right-having too much luggage can be overwhelming.
As I’ve shared my experience, I’ve had no problems in Malaysia, and people are happy to hear that as they plan to travel and explore the beauty of the country ☺️.
Half of Malays are dark too lol. But skin color and ethnicity are two different things. We do have problem with illegal immigrants tho. More than half of them here are unrecorded. This poses safety issues to everyone.

In kl there are many migrants like in london. Female travellers complained that they stared at them. But they do not cause any issue(so far). Probably in pakistan or bangladesh they never saw tourists before eg white or black ladies
Yes, I’ve had that experience, and so have my friends with the constant staring. I just stare back😐 🤣. I’m not buying the excuse that they’ve never seen a white or Black tourist before, but regardless, it can be unsettling to be stared at all the time. I could’ve said the same about Malaysians, since I had never knowingly met anyone before coming here, but you don’t see me staring at them 😩. It’s life, and while we can’t control others’ actions, we just power through 🥊.
@QueenofDC like your positive attitude. Locals do not disturb tourists because it is not our culture, that includes forcing tourists to take pictures together ,not our culture. I give another example. In jalan alor, waiters hustled tourists to come to their restaurants to eat. It is annoying. Guess what many there are not malaysian workers.
Most probably those staring are our foreign manual workers ( guest workers) from Indonesia , Bangladesh, Pakistani, India, Mynmar ( about 5 million of them). They are awed as they seldom see a foreigners ( black, white,yellow, brown and shades of those skin colours) in their country.😊 MALAYSIANS are used to foreigners to be awed. A lot of Malaysians ( hundreds of thousand ) studied abroad such as in USA, Europe , Japan ,Korea AND many more had travelled the world. Furthermore MILLIONS of foreigners visited Malaysia. Last year alone 29 millions tourist. Compare that figure to Malaysian population of 33 millions. Also there are tens of thousands of expatriate living in Malaysia since colonial time.
@amiryazidali7659 it is normal for us to see tourists (Arabs, white, black, yellow). But frankly staring at people is no manners. And not normal behaviour. Hugging females to take picture is another of the foreigner's attitude.

I can absolutely love both Vietnam and Malaysia. While they may be culturally different, they share the same warmth and respect for others. It’s not a competition for me-I love them both! No matter where I go, I’ll never forget KL-❤️. If you know, you know! And KL is definitely my favorite compared to Ho Chi Minh City. We'll have to agree to disagree.
😆Sri Lanka is on my list, I just haven’t made it there yet. Everyone I know who’s been has absolutely loved it, and I can’t wait to experience it myself 😁.

Malaysia have no problem with black people because Indian Malaysian also black and that is normal in Malaysia....

In kl there are many migrants like in london. Female travellers complained that they stared at them. But they do not cause any issue(so far). Probably in pakistan or bangladesh they never saw tourists before eg white or black ladies
Yes, I’ve had that experience, and so have my friends with the constant staring. I just stare back😐 🤣. I’m not buying the excuse that they’ve never seen a white or Black tourist before, but regardless, it can be unsettling to be stared at all the time. I could’ve said the same about Malaysians, since I had never knowingly met anyone before coming here, but you don’t see me staring at them 😩. It’s life, and while we can’t control others’ actions, we just power through 🥊.
@QueenofDC like your positive attitude. Locals do not disturb tourists because it is not our culture, that includes forcing tourists to take pictures together ,not our culture. I give another example. In jalan alor, waiters hustled tourists to come to their restaurants to eat. It is annoying. Guess what many there are not malaysian workers.
Most probably those staring are our foreign manual workers ( guest workers) from Indonesia , Bangladesh, Pakistani, India, Mynmar ( about 5 million of them). They are awed as they seldom see a foreigners ( black, white,yellow, brown and shades of those skin colours) in their country.😊
MALAYSIANS are used to foreigners to be awed. A lot of Malaysians ( hundreds of thousand ) studied abroad such as in USA, Europe , Japan ,Korea AND many more had travelled the world. Furthermore MILLIONS of foreigners visited Malaysia. Last year alone 29 millions tourist. Compare that figure to Malaysian population of 33 millions. Also there are tens of thousands of expatriate living in Malaysia since colonial time.
@amiryazidali7659 it is normal for us to see tourists (Arabs, white, black, yellow). But frankly staring at people is no manners. And not normal behaviour. Hugging females to take picture is another of the foreigner's attitude.

I’ve heard other explanations from people of their background that make more sense, but no need to dwell on it… I’m just happy to be back in KL 🎊🥰!

I can absolutely love both Vietnam and Malaysia. While they may be culturally different, they share the same warmth and respect for others. It’s not a competition for me-I love them both! No matter where I go, I’ll never forget KL-❤️. If you know, you know! And KL is definitely my favorite compared to Ho Chi Minh City. We'll have to agree to disagree.
