Why is everyone freaking out about bitcoin’s price? It’s only down like few% from an all time high; which it reached BEFORE the halving. Which typically doesn’t happen until 9 months AFTER the halving. B'tc bull runs have typically had multiple 30-40% drops and we haven’t had that AT ALL. Current price is at the short term holder cost basis which makes total sense especially given Millenium and other hedge funds unwinding the carry trade. We usually dip/consolidate for at least 90 days after a halving. Time to peak after a halving averages 100-some days. So everyone please just relax and keep trading....managed to grow a nest egg of around 130k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Renee Gilman, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Technology aside(because that clearly doesn’t matter in this space) I don’t think your analogy is even close to the same thing. BTC is work $60k/token. XRP hasn’t been able to get its head above a dollar but a couple times in the last 7 years. It’s market cap is 50x XRP. Facts not feelings buddy. You watch too many “top analyst predicts” videos. It’s the worst performing token the last 6 years…..literally

If ripple really wanted to take advantage of tokenization, they should issue ripple stock on the XRPL
Likely stocks will be tokenized in the future but there are a lot of regulatory hurdles right now to make that happen. If Ripple was a publicly traded company this might be easier to do

It is called an STO - Security Token Offering.
But it won’t happen….
- an STO must comply with all four legs of the Howey test.
- the STO requires smart contracts, so it couldn’t launch on the XRPL
- a conventional IPO would raise much more cash than the less common STO.

If you want to do a global multibillion dollars successful scam, you should do it the right way. Hiring big names, paying them millions each year and all you need is someone to pay for it by buying their token. Not to worry about, there are 8 billion morons on Earth. Ripple has no obligation to us and I think they don’t want the court case to end. So the story is we all want the services they provide to use XRP but each of them doesn’t have to use it. We’re about to see the picture pretty soon though…
I think they both Ripple and XRP will do well but if I was given only one choice to pick from the two I would go with XRP.

@@khalid758 Ripple has always sold XRP. They sold XRP when it hit previous ATHs. Ripple doesn't sell directly to retail. And these are XRP that have always been slated as "going to be sold by Ripple" - that's what the escrow is for. If you're not compelled to buy XRP, fine, I get it. But if you think "things have changed" since the last ATH, the only things that really have are that XRP has greater legal clarity and now a company motivated to leverage that clarity to recoup the money they lost securing that clarity. 🤷♂️🤷♂️

I own both but i like Ripple better. Ripple has used XRP to build out a business and diversify that business into payments, tokenisations, CBDC's, stablecoins, custody etc . They already have multiple revenue streams and it's highly likely that many of them will grow. I still love the token XRP but the adoption for payments is below expectations (mainly SEC) and the fact that Ripple is now using it only for the long tail now (dixit Monica L) and not even targeting banks anymore (dixit David S) makes me less excited about XRP in the near term. Also the share price has risen a lot, the token price not , so the value is now clearly in the Ripple equity.

I wonder whether we will be in the same boat or not after the lawsuit ends. Ripple is looking at long term while holders seek especially short (after 5-6 years' of waiting) or medium term by far the most. Ripple holds app. 4 billion XRP out of escrow and a rally could easily be stopped and price manipulated by them. Ahy should they want a low price XRP? I reaaly dont know. But that is what has been happening for a long time. Maybe, they have promised a low price for banks and FIs to buy as much as they can.I hope I am wrong.

All ripple have to do is implement a staking mechanism and burn 4 billion a year for the next 10 years. The price of xrp would rise. Its not rocket science. Holders of crypto want to see passive income and a increasing rarity of the coin they hold. The xrp community would back that easy and ripple would still have billions of xrp increasing in value.

Ripple has 90%+ of its business outside of the US and the US is going to be lucky if it gets through this year but it will never see 2030. Financially the US is sunk, countries are dumping bonds like a hot rock and the US has no financial future without countries buying US debt. Ripple needs to come up with something that works and XRP needs developers and it doesn't look good for either of them.
