Chen Xiaowang created this 19 Form and Chen Taiji 38 Form. The purpose of these is to make the Chen Taiji easier for normal people. I learned this form from Chen Xiaowang himself. He is awesome. I did not realize how difficult the Chen Taiji is until I started to teach to my peers.

@andreas2342 . Andreas easy brother. Wudang has practiced martial arts and meditation and qigong etc for over a thousand years. They also are not really concerned in "proving" anything necessarily. I have seen wudang taiji and it is decidedly different from all other styles, their movement is more like water and thunder and carries a flavor that appears to be very very old. Just because you haven't seen the "documents" doesn't make it so. Besides documents can easily be faked. Just saying brothr

You have no clue what you are talking about, do you? I suggest you post your comments in other topics as it shows you do not know much about taijiquan.

What seems evidential in terms of Wutang is that they had early thirteen form Taiji which sadly (this will upset a lot of people) was mainly gleaned initially from hard style Xiaolin school, and later softened in accordance with Taoist philosophy. It seems likely that they invented some forms of Baguazhang, Qigong, and certain Long Chuan styles as well a couple of Middle frame systems. Even today Chen style is by far the most Shaolin flavored Taijiquan and that is self-evident. I love Taiji!

@ironbuddha1008 Some people think Chen style isn't real TaiJi. I think that's what he meant. It's because he doesn't practice like other TaiJi masters do. But, he uses Chi flow, he uses everything. lol and to say he doesn't have any Peng is ridiculous. That guy said that two years ago, maybe he has learned now?

WOW...i take taichi right now and i cant even begin to explain how difficult and amazing it is...that 19 step form was flawless...i am inspired to do it much more gracefully from now one, realizing im kind of butchering it, but u have to learn all the precise movements before u can just do it like a dance the way he did...i think that guy was my masters master in taichi...wow.

Something I have been starting to practice. This is very informative and will give me greater confidence in these movements and the principles behind them, It will certainly help with my practice of the Part 1 Chen Form/ Lao Jia.

Short and compact, perhaps not simplified in the same way the Yang 24 is simplified, but more like painting the same picture with less strokes then in Lao Jia.

Is this particular video available on DVD? I know he has 19 on dvd already but that is studio footage not outdoors.

You are an incredibly knowledged individual...however...
You have overlooked the most important detail: That Zhang Sanfeng was an immortal and thus lived outisde of time. By this any person capable of simple logical deduction can examine the dharma wheel of Chen Wanting and it becomes clear that he was a direct disciple of Zhang Sanfeng. Don't feel too bad about it.. it's a common mistake.

you mean the sound of slapping himself with the other hand? yeah, that was really sound :)

I’ve attended several seminars with GM Chen Xiaowang. The thunderous sound/vibration that’s emitted upon his fajin is truly something difficult to describe, and amazing to behold...there’s definitely more going on that just a slap on the belly with the withdrawn hand. I’ve never experienced anything like it.
