  • Hi everyone,
    I'm stuck in this lockdown.
I can't work in my workshop.
I've just got to make something at home.
So I've come up with this idea of a slim drill like a pen.
This project is 100% an experiment.
    Hope you guys like it.
    Cheers!
    Addition Information
    The materials basically are:
    - 1 mm drill bit
    - 8 mm chuck for the drill bit. the inner diameter is around 2 mm.
    - LK0236 motor, I think it is a motor for drones.
    - 8 mm aluminium pipe
    - Male and female power connector
    - USB cable

Hey great build! I noticed in the comments people were mentioning a switch which is what I was going to suggest as well. Since that's already been done 100 times I was going to get into specifics. If it were my build I would have a master on/off toward the back of the pen out of the way from accidentally being bumped on/off and then on the actual grip of the pen install a small ( off position) momentary switch so it only engages when gripping the pen

      @roomspaceplayground  2 года назад +4

yes i do have similar idea, im planning on the next pen to have that. Thanks alot! :D

      @@roomspaceplayground What Is Islam?
Islam is not just another religion.
It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.
The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
{ “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)
Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus.
Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him

With USB-C and USB PD you could get up to 20V at 5A from a USB-C power supply. That would make this thing really crazy. The ZYPDS is a small USB-C chip that asks for 12V or 20V from a USB-C power supply, they're super useful for projects like this.

Cud even directly connect drills make the drill shaft with a thread or square drive use a magnet to hold it in place

I think it would depends on the drill bit, but imo it's not powerful enough. Only good for carving.
