Kind of! It just will be very, VERY hard to pull off. For example, you can be like Rocky and want to try new things all the time. In a way, that's staying true to yourself, just like Tyler is so well at doing. But the difference is that Tyler uses this method to focus on evolution, while Rocky focuses more so on revolution. And that doesn't even account for the taste of the wide majority. Human beings are complexed creatures, and focusing on something that's merely a reflection of our own mental sate and well being, may not translate well across most people, including our family, peers and society as a whole. The reason why Travis succeeds so well at what he does is because, while combining the best of both worlds, he still plays it very safe. But I do believe that this new wave of Hip Hop that's beginning to crawl to the surface, will change everything we know and perceive about the genre, maybe even using all three styles together like the damn Avatar. Who knows?!
