The attitude from the responding police on this occasion is totally different from when they assisted with the initial eviction. It suggests that assisting evictions is an operation ordered by corrupt higher ups to secure the property rather than just a fluke due to the ignorance of officers sent to prevent a breach of the peace.

Honestly, I’ve never seen anything so chaotic. On both sides. Like where are the people in charge of everyone. How can the police do their job when people can’t handle themselves and everyone has to have their say. No wonder you had assaults in a “peaceful” takeover. What you’re doing is commendable, you got the job done. The judicial system is obviously shit and the police are useless. But if you treat them like crap how in the world are they going to help you?! I mean there used to be a time where no one wanted assistance by police back in the day and now you beg for it, yet you hate the police?! But why aren’t you doing your due diligence to make change instead of just bully the system that’s not working over and over again. Wow! What an amazing group of people you all are. I really wish you could help my family. We have (on the 14th May) been given an eviction notice. This is because I’ve been reporting issues with the house that just don’t get done. I’ve been here 3.5 years. No rent arrears or anything. I’ve been reporting most issues all the time I’ve lived here. I’m disabled and my husband has health issues as well, as does my daughter. We don’t have any savings or a guarantor and the only way we can rent again is to pay 6 months rent upfront or to have a guarantor!! I’m absolutely petrified as to what will happen.
