    Question -
I do this as you accurately described in your video. Say my miles are 30 round trip and they say reimbursement amount is 13.50 - I hit submit amd in a few days the VA always just sends me 7.30 pr whatever .. never the amount approved?? Do you know why ?

The same thing happened to me. After I got approved, the amount I got was a bit less. I did a bit of looking, and apparently there is a deductible for the travel reimbursement, so if you are getting less than they originally tell you, that is most likely why.

BT Clerk here.. Yes there is a deductible that gets taken out. $18.00 CAP MONTHLY (if you are below the income threshold there is a waiver form you can fill out and it will be waived.) ALSO we pay some appts to the closest facility. things like primary care, labs, ETC they will pay you to the closest facility that offers that same service this can change the amount too. AND we always use the most "cost effective" route.

What appointments do the VA not pay for? I'm a 100% disabled and I get dental and eye appointments and they do not reimburse me for my community care appointments. Yes they are pre-approved and paid for by Optum.

I'm sorry to hear that. I just went to a community care appointment the other day, and my VA said they would pay for it. I really don't know why they aren't paying you.
