Makes sense. Spain were not overwhelming favourites before the tournament. They had the toughest path from the group stage right up to the final and the final itself. Dropped a number of big names.

If I was Spain, to right id be thinking about winning the WC. Fantastic all tournament, and derserved winners last night against us. We’ve got some great players, but set tactically poorly and so negative. Spain played fantastic football while also ticking all the rest of the boxes. Such great balance in the team and fluidity, something only us English fans could dream of seeing. Carry on as they are they will def be knocking on that door in 2 years time! All the respect to them last night, the right team won the tournament

England has a very scary group of players but I agree with you; Southgate did not extract the best of them at all, not close, no rotations too.

Nah, they had some young players playing with total freedom and the team caught form at the right time. Germany had them on the ropes in 1/4 finals, they lack a striker to be clinical in front of goal and they can vulnerable when they're pressed heavily.
I may be wrong, and maybe they'll improve those shortcomings and/or develop players to fix them along the way, but I dont see this group of players building a dynasty like 2008-12 team...

If lamine and nico improves on their finishing or passing theyll be a deadly threat. Morata mentioned maybe retiring from the nstional team his hold up play and linking were great. Curuous if de la fuente will keep the team add on samu, marc guiu or ansu. Gavi and balde might be back do who does he cut? Pedro porro back for rb or they bring fort if fort does really well

They have won the Nation's League and the Eurocup. Even if they did not win anything else, it would not matter: they are already legendary!! They have done what no one has evee done: They have beaten Croatia, Italy, Germany, France and England ( the most powerful European nations), they have won all 7 matches, they have played really well so they have made us enjoy; they have scored more goals than anyone in any Eurocup ever while conceding only 3 goals; they have won everything: best player, best young player, max striker (granted it's shared, still there is a Spaniard there and on top) and they have won the 4th cup for Spain, something no one in Europe has!!
Like I said, they are already legends!! Grandes!!!!
I wish them all the very best, a level-headed approach to the next challenges, zero injuries and to keep their joyful family feeling...and winning more throphies, if possible. I ❤ this team!!
I ❤2008-2012 team as well, in their prime they were miles bwyond ANY national team, like clearly, they were something else, so thanks to Aragonés, Del Bosque, Niño Torres, Los Xavis, Iniesta, Villa, Casillas, Pujol, Fábregas and the rest of the players for breaking the awful spell of bad refereeing and disrespect our national teams had got through history: only by being way above everyone else, were they able to overcome all that. I mean, they won despite all that, they opened the way.

French fan here. But Spain definitely is at the top to win the World Cup here. Last time they won a World Cup, they actually were the Euro champions in 2008. Especially with Rodri, Morata and Carvajal experience with Ferran, Gavi, Pedri and Yamal who is still growing, Spain squad in 2026 is gonna be dangerous af.

Believing that England were excellent the first half is part of the problem. They simply parked the bus which is what lesser teams do because they have no other strategy to use as they are not so good technically and so on.
I believe that England did have some quality players to have played like a champion, not like a little scared team with no other possible weapons.

De la Fuente did not abandon tiki-taka. He used it the first half against England. You really do not know what tiki-taka is sir. Tiki taka is moving the goal until you get a space to shoot but it is always about going vertically; tiki taka is not what Spain did against Morocco, that is sh-t, the same way that playing vertically is not telling Pickford to throw the ball 20 times to Spanish field.
World Cup is different level. Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Colombia can give Spain a game. It’s not waking in the park like people think. They won’t do the same they did in the euros for sure . Things can change a lot in two years . Don’t forget Italy was playing great football in the euros when they won and after that they collapsed. It’s good for them to be excited but I don’t think it’s easy like they make look Euros
Italy was just defensively very very sound in Euro 2020, that's the only advantage they had what collapsed after the euro victory, offensively Italy wasn't that impressive in 2020 euro...whereas Spain was ruthless in attack and solid defensively which resulted in a flawless 7/7 victory to win euro 2024 which never happened in Euro history...so don't bring Italy here...and yes obviously Argentina Brazil Uruguay and Columbia are big threats because they play very physical game which works well against Spanish style of football, but if referee is well aware of fouls and not like English referees then Spain can play good football even facing physical teams...the only weakness what Spain have is defensive transitions isn't very very fast, it's fast but not enough to stop relentless counters from sides like Brazil or Columbia...so that's a concern for me, other than that, Spain is the heaviest contender for next world cup 2026
@@debajyotiroy8726 let’s see because I have seen most of the contenders in the World Cup lose. Brazil 1982 , 2006, Spain 2014, France 2022, France 2002 etc etc …World Cup is different level. You have to understand the euros was in the end of the season where players was physically tired it’s not excuses but it’s a fact. I think the World Cup will happen when all players will be fresh which make a big difference.

Very few...so winning a world cup doesn't make anyone favorite to win the next world cup as well...but winning euro/Copa with such dominance can give an edge to win the next world cup
