I am a retired firefighter (captain) from the Houston area and I could listen to FDNY communication accent and lingo for days on end! I love it! ht We worked 24 hour shifts and back in the days we would play dominos alnight!
That's hilareous painted chief's finger nails :) Great show! Actually on-duty tonight working my post retirement fire department shift catching up on GS podcasts! I could listen to Rich stories for days -- genuine transparency and experiences being a firefighter! School tip of the day, I just stressed to a new proby firefighter coming on night tour tonight the importance of immediately getting gear on truck, checking scba's, and being ready for whatever we could face!!! One of the top podcast Thank you Rich!
230 is on park between Marcy and Tompkins. Squad 3 was in with them. George Day has since passed away I believe in the late 2000’s. I went to 230 out of probie school. Joe Seeney was a LT in 230 from early 90’s till he retired in 2016. Was the boss at my first nozzle job. Gentlemen Joe
When I’m having a shitty night I like to listen to guys like Richie. Chiefs are amazing but I’ll sleep like a baby next to my Lou than anyone…just sayin

These shows just keep getting better and better every time!
I heard that Paddy Brown had that instinct, that inate sixth sense, that ability to know not just see the big picture.
