Totally disagree in the sense of a, “copy paste job,” There’s such a strong “LA hip hop” feeling to this record. Knowing it’s Kendrick, there’s that feeling of purpose in it, like he had something to prove just to do it on some Kanye shit, (but better ofc.) That being said this feels like Kendrick’s digging into his west coast roots more than ever, and that’s a great showcase of what he can do time after time. This is not what I expected. All in all, before Fantano says it, Kendrick releases another body of work that is to be recognized and appreciated. Med to High 8 if you ask me🤷🏽♂️
