I keep hearing complaints but I kinda like the fact that while wearing the backpack it’s harder for other people to get in even that smaller pocket no one uses it I would but stuff in there that I don’t use often

Great video ! I'm glad the new version works better for you ! I have the older version and i personally never had the zipper issue i've had it for a year now and i think it looks better to me. I think it makes the bag more unique that the zipper doesn't really show.

I think I prefer the look of the hidden zipper. The zipper on the older one doesn't bother me so I think I'll stick with it.
Great side by side comparison video ! I was 1 of those people that thought I preferred the look of the old version . However in July of 2019 it was my 2nd time purchasing the Palm Springs mini , I had it back in 2017 , after it was deemed defective , at that time I was offered to replace it or take store credit and chose something else . I had the reverse mono mini also at that time , so I opted to take the store credit and chose another bag ! Fast forward 2 years , I was still missing having it and bought it again , I was not aware a new version would be releasing a month or 2 later , my 2nd one began to have severe peeling and flaking of the canvas lip which covered the zipper after only 3 months of wear ! I was not thrilled but my CA offered to swap out my old version for the new version , no questions asked right then and there ! After using the new version for the 1st time I loved the bag even more , it seems a tad more structured , the zipper is a total game changer , loops felt stronger , leather handle , front tab and little leather pieces all felt just a bit more sturdy and strong like maybe they won’t split over time ! I think it’s awesome they fixed the issue and are helping customers with issues due directly to that tough zipper ! So I thought I loved the old version better but I think now seeing both the new one looks more aesthetically pleasing and just put together better ! I have a video on my new version and in the video I have very upclose photos Of the awful peeling and flaking that actually began to turn white . I also show a new feature to the leather loops that hold the d rings that is hard to see but was improved Also , it’s not something anyone would spot or even know to look for , if you are interested please check out my video , titled NEW VERSION PALM SPRINGS MINI ! I have the new Palm Springs mini, heard that there’s a few improvement to the new version although the open zipper is the most obvious change. The 2 piece of leather tab beside the front zipper is changed so that it no longer split like the old version that many people encounter. As for the other improvement, notice the leather that holds the d ring also has reinforced canvas inside to prevent fraying like previous models. If you haven’t sold it, you can check it out to see if it’s true. Thanks for the review btw.

Older model looks better
The older version ( not speaking of entirely yours but from what I seen on others on RUclips / online ) looks beat up and deflated lol also the handle on top looks so worn out. I don’t understand how some buyers want to keep their old version when it looks wrinkle, flat and messy. I been wanting this bag since it came out ! I got my hands on it 2 years ago but the zipper was so bad, I returned it the next day. I thought I get over it but it still on my mind, so I thought I go for it again last year, then I heard about the new version and was so happy. I end up getting the new version for my bday last year ! And I am very pleased, now it’s worth the 2k, you know lol

Harper it look beat up, its about the way you store it. Mine old vertion is 1 year old and look like her “new vertion”. My other friend just ordered online new vertion with idea to sell old, but she decided to return new one cause “sth seems not right”.

My old version of Palm Springs mini had the canvas peeling issue by the zipper and I was offered for a replacement for the new version or store credit in 2019. It was a easy replacement but I think LV might have changed its after-sales policy now. A few days ago I noticed that my new version psm has tiny canvas splits on both corners of the flap by the zipper. Isn’t LV known for its durable canvas? It’s either the issue of the quality or the issue of the design! Cracked canvas can’t not be repaired but when I brought my psm in and I was that it’s wear and tear!

I have the older version in reverse monogram. I’m lucky that I haven’t had any issues with the zipper. I like the side by side comparison. Gotta admit I prefer the look of the older version. The new version looks fake.

I recently went to LV and checked out two palmspring mini with a new version, which made me feel so disappointed about the zipper so stiff to open and close. It was more on the quality of zipper issue. I went toanother LV store and was able to locate a smoother zipper on a new model, Passing those under quality bags is not acceptable; wish LV listens to us about this quality control!!!
Has that dented area on the back smoothed out now? If not I’d get them to exchange it for you x

Because , I just bought a Palm Springs mini from the Louis Vuitton website, but the date code doesn't seem right. It's made in France it's ML 2200. Is that legit? When I looked the code up on the date code calculator it shows invalid. I would hope that Louis Vuitton authenticates their bags if someone does a return just in case they switch it with a fake.
I am also having this problem, I ordered this bag from the official LV website but I when I put the code in starting with ML on the authentic code websites none of them are recognising the code :(

Alisa boonpa I rang the LV customer service and they said the date code has nothing to do with the authenticity of the bag, it’s for location purpose of where the bag is made only. They said as long as you have ordered from the LV official website, you have nothing to worry about. I hope that helps :)

I think everything else seems the same. Zipper was the biggest change for me 😊

No it’s the same monogram canvas as the outside of the bag.
