Don’t you think if you have to educate licensed drivers already causing havoc on our roads, our DMV really isn’t doing what they should be with written and driving tests. There’s so many people that have no idea of the rules of the road here in Florida is dangerous. Thanks Trooper Steve for at least pointing these problems out 👍

It's allowed in Michigan, where I learned to drive. Got a ticket within 30 days of moving to Florida because of that maneuver.
Never thought of it as claiming the intersection. It was what we were taught to do.
My police officer dad said it's 100% legal to take over the intersection
15 minutes later …..I agree, with multiple vehicles blocking the intersection to turn, plus I won’t do such move on a 3 r more lines intersections.
What happens when the person behind you starts road raging and shoots you because you aren't moving and are just sitting at the light?
