In today's video we take a matte painted G Wagon from a winter mess to a respectable vehicle. It's now winter in Canada and the roads are already an absolute mess. A few minutes of driving and you're covered in road grime from natural sands to intense ice melt chemicals. All of this needs to go! We deep cleaned the wheels and paintwork of the truck with a number of touches products. Matte paint doesn't allows you to clay or polish the vehicle, therefore you really do need to reply on chemicals to prep them. This particular truck is completed wrapped in PPF, but the process remains the same. We finished the G Wagon in a ceramic coating to better protect it in the coming months. Documented in a satisfying, ASMR format for all of your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

If this G-Wagon did have the PFF on it, could you still apply the ceramic coating or no? Also So once you used the Halo Coating, did you follow it up with the Serum and Exo? or was the serum and Exo only for the wheels and chrom? thanks!
You could, would just have to use a matte specific product. There aren’t many and the ones that do exist kinda suck. Yeah just CSL and EXO on the bull bar and tire cover

Thanks man! Such a nice paint finish. It was Panel Wipe. Basically just an IPA clean before the ceramic coating

If the paint is factory matte, do you recommend installing ppf ? Also whenever I clean my matte car With some cleaning products I get this weird oily batches on the panels 🤷🏽♂️
If it’s in the budget absolutely! Matte paint is so finicky. I don’t have much experience with it but friends that do have a very hard time keeping it sharp

Typically I do! There is rarely much left. Has no negative effect on the pumpy guy

Had a sore throat for a year. Back now!
If possible atleast start mobile detailing in the spring and move into a shop in the fall. If it’s hot all the time where you live just do mobile until you’re limited in growth. My other suggest is not something realistic for everyone but if you can somehow buy the shop. You will be years and years ahead of yourself off the rip. Or work up to that. Either way, I think working real estate into your business is a game changer

Thanks Drew! I use the Comet 1700 Static pressure washer. It’s currently sitting on a cinder block because I am a shmuck but I will do a full video once it’s mounted with a proper reel and what not. But as it stands, very very good!
