I think what made them different from the BIG 3. They're not YG who focus on catchy songs with (well some trashy lyrics but still catchy). Not like JYP such beautiful and unique dance. Not like SM who tries out many things with great picking of vocalist, dancers and rappers. What made them. THEM. Is that they produce all their song by they're own, I know cube is like that but they deep dived to meaningful things, Like loving yourself, speak yourself, School's destructive systems and etc. With its catchy beats and lyrics and of course different composure song, like 'Forever rain' by our RM. Was such a unique beat with deep meanings for army's and others.

Jimin has been through ballet dance that means his song likings is way different same as Jhope who is undergo to freestyle dance which means he focus on hiphop songs, Rm is underraper of hiphop as it was his main dream so is suga but his first love was piano. Jungkook (along with Jimin and RM) is into R&B (mostly western songs too). While V likes Jazz, that's why his the mr saxophone. Meanwhile Jin mostly like rock. That's why they're song is different from KPOP today is that it's a nice new melodic kpop songs from they're liking making them one of the genius group (esp the producers). They're really different from Bigbang's catchy song. Different from Exo as well. With the help of the rapper line especially Suga (Who was the main genius making songs on the group) was so good at making songs that made them unique.
Uji Sungwoon first of all we have translations and it’s evident that you haven’t been tried looking at the lyrics because they have very meaningful lyrics. Secondly, when you compare bts’s attractiveness with other kpop groups or boy bands it’s not the best. They were even criticised because of their looks. Now that they’re popular everybody thinks they’re well known for their “looks”!? Trend is something that comes and goes and bts have been on top for more than 3 years now. You now what the funniest thing is... When BTS first debuted a lot of koreans called them ugly and much more but now that they are famous it's suddenly because of the visuals. And youtube doesn't give a chance to see the BTS if someone is not interested in idol or k-pop or BTS. As a Korean army, I'm telling you, although Koreans speak the same language as BTS, they don't go through the deep level of lyrics, they look at the outer part only. Such as appearance, success, dance skills. Especially with the success; they usually don't thank them or see through what or how they have come up till here. They just want more. So if BTS does one mistake, or don't break the records, they insult them. I really want Koreans to know how much tribulations they had gone through to do all that. Please don't take pressure BTS! Well, i don't think some fans are like what you said. Yes, I love the boys. Yes, i am ARMY. I would never stan another group, but I was exposed to K-Dramas back when I was 15 (i am 23 now). I didn't become ARMY until I was 18(2014). So i care about their culture and language because I care, not because of BTS. I care about many cultures and languages, but yeah I'd only visit Korea for BTS tbh.

I’m from Louisiana, United States and I believe BTS is so popular because of their music. I love watching their videos and seeing their performances. Maybe those people have much bigger influences in their lives than song's lyrics, but that doesn't mean they don't who BTS is and what they have done. Not everyone has to dig deep into lyrics to enjoy mysic and feel their national pride.
Good-looks aren't the only thing BTS has. It's their powerful voice and the message that those boys delivers us. Their songs teaches us that no matter who or what you are, you should learn to Love Yourself. Korean teenagers and general population mentality are the reason industry based manufactured has been negatively portrayed in the world but BTS changed that perception. Their mentality that idols can't date or have personal freedom during their popularity days is ubsurd and it is due to industry manufactured band that tries to sell their band through teenagers by making them stay single throughout their careers. Unless general Korean change their perception, BTS will be the first and the last that do well in the world.
True. If kpop companies dont change the way they manage their artists, its would be only BTS that gonna stay relevant and be remember of as successful kpop group. BTS keep defying the odd and prove that they are different from typical kpop groups and i believe that until now, kpop companies dont see why BTS get the respect and fame because of their own ego that dont want to believe that BTS is different. Dating is one thing I want BTS to change in the IDOL culture. It is very hard even for BTS to come out in public with a dating news because many ARMYs wont support them. Many K Armys will oppose and what I see many I- armys also fantasize them as their boyfriend/lover whatever, it is really unexpected. I dont know BTS may not be dating at this moment due to their schedule or may be they are !!!! I really wish one day they publicly announce they are dating (even if they dont mention who) and they show loving someone is not a crime. Honestly Love does not come in one form, if your idol love their girlfriend that does not mean they wont love you anymore, Artist and Fan is a different type of relationship and needs to cherished

No, he just said a lot of their lyrics are in English, and from what I've heard of other kpop songs/artists I think that's true, BTS does include more English in their lyrics than other artists. I've noticed a surprising amount of the fanchants are in English as well and that helps international fans be able to participate as well as Korean fans - usually it's Yoongi's verses where the fanchant is like 4 lines long all in Korean and I'm just like @_@ there's no way I can memorize all that (especially with how fast he raps).

BTS has brought Korean music and culture to the forefront of the world. Their fan-base is primarily adults, but they have the most mixed demographics of any fan-base worldwide. BTS is the reason that people all over the world are struggling to learn Korean; so they can support them and the positive message they bring to those who listen to their music. BTS is involved with every step of creating their music. From writing, to composing and producing, they are all involved with the creative process so it has their blood, sweat, tears and heart, poured into every piece. Each member is a valuable and irreplaceable friend and brother to one and other. They are not like the typical group where someone walking away would be a conceivable thing. They love, care, respect, and protect one and other like real genuine family. And it's because we can see how genuine they are to one and other, that moves millions of people to support them. Not only do they love one and other, but they also love the people who support them and never forget to give thanks to the fans. They let us know that we are their inspiration, as much as they are ours. It is through BTS that fans all over the world learned to communicate with one and other. Because korea's the most biggest entertainment company, especially for sm and yg don't let people know about BTS. Never before had I ever considered learning Korean, visiting Korea or even living there. Only learning about BTS made me learn about their culture as well. I am really happy that my friend introduced me to BTS and K-Pop in general. Otherwise I'll be missing a lot. I'm Army, but also happy for other K-Pop groups' achievements.

Because korea's the most biggest entertainment company, especially for sm and yg don't let people know about BTS. I mean, they are try to up their idols and down BTS. through naver(the most biggiest korean portal cite like google, and yg is 2th major shareholder of naver), broadcast(ex.KBS, MBC, SBS, JTBC etc..). They never expose BTS even though they spoke at the UN, won the BBMAs, go to the grammy. They don't let BTS get popular. So many Koreans don't know how amazing things it is. Bighit entertainment has no power to fight with big company like yg and sm, so that's a reason. Sorry about my English. But I really wanted to make I-armys know about korea's things. Well, i don't think some fans are like what you said. Yes, I love the boys. Yes, i am ARMY. I would never stan another group, but I was exposed to K-Dramas back when I was 15 (i am 23 now). I didn't become ARMY until I was 18(2014). So i care about their culture and language because I care, not because of BTS. I care about many cultures and languages, but yeah I'd only visit Korea for BTS tbh.

No, he just said a lot of their lyrics are in English, and from what I've heard of other kpop songs/artists I think that's true, BTS does include more English in their lyrics than other artists. I've noticed a surprising amount of the fanchants are in English as well and that helps international fans be able to participate as well as Korean fans - usually it's Yoongi's verses where the fanchant is like 4 lines long all in Korean and I'm just like @_@ there's no way I can memorize all that (especially with how fast he raps).

I'm honestly floored.... How can some Koreans not know about such legends in the making? Even if you're not into 'K-Pop' you should still be aware of what's going on in the world. BTS has brought Korean music and culture to the forefront of the world. Their fan-base is primarily adults, but they have the most mixed demographics of any fan-base worldwide. BTS is the reason that people all over the world are struggling to learn Korean; so they can support them and the positive message they bring to those who listen to their music.
BTS is involved with every step of creating their music. From writing, to composing and producing, they are all involved with the creative process so it has their blood, sweat, tears and heart, poured into every piece. Each member is a valuable and irreplaceable friend and brother to one and other. They are not like the typical group where someone walking away would be a conceivable thing. They love, care, respect, and protect one and other like real genuine family. And it's because we can see how genuine they are to one and other, that moves millions of people to support them.
Not only do they love one and other, but they also love the people who support them and never forget to give thanks to the fans. They let us know that we are their inspiration, as much as they are ours. It is through BTS that fans all over the world learned to communicate with one and other. Language no longer became a barrier. And it is because of that, Army have formed an unbreakable bond. BTS has helped people all over the world form positive relationships with not only each other, but with ourselves as well.
Other musicians, idols, and artist are out there promoting partying, drinking, sex, drugs, and violence. It somehow became a competition to see who could sink the lowest, and it was toxic. But BTS changed that and became a positive role-model that the world didn't know they desperately needed. They discuss real issues that some how became irrelevant or taboo to speak about. And not only did they address the issues, but they unknowingly provided a 'support' as well. I have never met a group of perfect strangers so willing to lend a shoulder to lean on, or an ear to listen to. Army has become a global community and family. We come from all walks of life, yet we can celebrate and embrace our differences, while supporting one and other. BTS has brought millions of people together regardless of gender, religion, race, age, or sexual orientation. That is why they are succeeding in life and career right now.

Korean people are all about ‘beauty standarts and they did not love, protect and respect BTS! In the beginning they hated them and called them ugly and now just because they are famous and promote Korea they suddenly like them! I am an international ARMY and the reason why I love them is because of their character! Appearance fades away without character!
