- I just got in the Sideshow General Grievous Premium Format Figure! This statue looks incredible but feels like a cheap toy! Is it worth buying? Not at $900!

Yeah, looks really flimsy/scary to display one "accidental" bump and that thing is toast. Hell just even when it comes time to dust... It looks awesome agreed, i wanted to get this but not for 900$ Thank you for taking the time to share this pieces all the pros and cons of it. Awesome review Jorge!
Sideshow needs to get out of the statue game, and become full time distributors. Unacceptable for that price.
Thank you for posting this review. He is a very hard character to put together because of the fact that he just doesn’t work well when you put him together in an environment that deals with the world of physics that we live in. Basically, I kind of feel as though, he was created in a computer and can only exist in a computer as far as a replica concerned. I wish I could get the life-size bus that was released decades ago. you did a fantastic job. I would love to get one, but I am still very much torn on whether or not it’s worth the risk because it’s so fragile. Thanks again for posting your review and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Very nice, Jorge! Looks like they would have put more into it (the plastic) for the price point. Also, I think the light sabers should have lit up. Hope you have room for this one! Love the videos, as always! Blessings!
Thanks for reviewing this Jorge… I was on the fence about this one. It does look cool but don’t think it’s worth all that plastic and fragility…. Not to mention the size of the box…I might just pick up the 1/10th from IS.
Great review. The way the statue is packed communicates a LOT about how Sideshow regards their own product: poorly is an understatement. Independent creators are way ahead of what Sideshow has done with this piece & they seem to care a lot more about them, as well.

I ordered it today. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm a bit afraid of the assembly. The arms are very thin. It's also plug-in and not magnetic.
I hope the arms ones don't start to sag over time

Once someone said the arms was plastic, I passed on it and bought the new PF Vader instead. I just don’t think it should be $900. $650 tops.

I never had an issue with the Sideshow Grievous. It’s actually my GFs favorite in my collection
Thanks for the review, I found it very helpful. I wonder if the original intent was a 4th scale figure that got modified into a statue. Wild guess aside I hope that everyone that has ordered this is happy with the end result & it stands the test of time. Cheers

Guess this is modeled after the real General Grievous. It explains why he runs away from sticky situations whenever he can. He is THAT flimsy and tends to fall apart, just like this statue.

Nah it’s fine. That’s how it is. I’ve spoken to several people that own it and seen others in person. It’s just a fragile statue. I’m trying to sell it at a loss at this point lol.

The lightsabers on these always scare me. I have Darth Vader, Malgus, Talon, Maul, Luke, and Savage Oppress. Out of all of those, only Luke and Vader have working sabers still. They get whacked when moving, or when my dumb friends don't pay attention. They get the little cracks, and then...don't work. Do you know any place we can get replacements? Etsy? 3rd Party? Etc? Thanks!
There is a guy on RUclips who does lightsabers for statues and figures. Try searching for him, I forget at the moment.

What happened to Sideshow. Up til 2019 they were pumping out Star Warss Busts, Statues, 1/6 figures (yes head sculpts and fabric were great but they did obscure characters that we’ll never see again, least not from Hot Toys) and dioramas. Since, pretty much just 3 nice Mythos Statues. It’s really said. I’m sorry but I can’t even finish this video 🤧🤧
Damn I really wanted this. Question do you prefer this or SS Mando? I have IS Mando but I have a spot available for a 1/4th next to baby yoda. I was gonna put Moff Gideon with him & Grevious where Moff is. But not sure I want Grevious after this review. Let me know what statue you think is better since you’ve had them both in hand. Heck I could get Kara Dune next to Grogu. Sucks I really wanted a Grevious but I’m not paying $900 for this especially if their Mando is 10x better. Sad 😂 Edit… also I’m military I move a bit. I don’t think that would be good for this statue. Lol

The good thing is that they covered it up in all kinds of foam and protective wrappings. So I think it will survive the trip.

The only issue with this figure is that he’s Shorter than I Expected
For the price, definitely not feeling this piece. Seems like his design makes it really difficult to translate into a figure or statue.
