Loving this build THQ well done. Daz what a legend I need this guy to work on my T6.1 My only gripe is with the van not being painted on the inside. I know no one will see it (apart from all of us watching this vid) but if this was Fast and Loud etc it would 100% be painted inside out. I know you farmed out the paint job and prob saved a bunch by not doing it. Sorry but I just can’t un see that now. I look forward to the next update.
I know what you mean, but it just doesn't warrant it as it already is painted. It's not like it's bare metal. Everything will be totally covered when it's finished. Anywhere you would see, like in the engine bay, has been painted.

Looks epic! Plenty of life in an old T5 yet 😎 I’d still be a bit cautious on the HiLo/Horizon, there’s a guy on the T6 forum having issues with his new Horizon leaking badly. You definitely need the right installer to fit an Horizon, seems like some of their dealers are still making a hash of things, just like on the HiLo’s. I was lucky, my HiLo was trouble free in 5 years apart from replacing one gas strut on the bed board. I went for a Stealth B2 on my 6.1 mega-build, not entirely convinced it’s a good roof either, it’s quite ‘wobbly’ for want of a better word. USP on the Stealth is no hinges, but I think you lose some strength and rigidity with only gas struts holding the thing in place.
I’m happy for you but I really feel sick 🤢 This van is everything I want mine to be don’t get me wrong I absolutely love my van but there’s some things I can’t do to a standard that I’m going to be happy with. First is I want the lower half painted I have a full facelift here all painted just need to seam seal the new bonnet then tiger seal the sportline spliter on the new bumper. I need to finish my halo roof and do the lights as I have no lights in the rear. Need to finish my rear barn doors need to sound proof and carpet lineing and cut the ply and carpet them. My drivers electric window motor is missing so I can’t use the electric mirrors or the interior door lock button. I have fitted a generic vw motor and wired it to a separate switch so I can atliest open the drivers window as I’m claustrophobic it’s unbearable to drive without the window open. Also need to repair the rear barn doors where some scumbag tried to break in to the van there are some dents along the edge that need fixing. Also remove the builders roof rack and fit some plastic screws/plugs Before I fit the facelift kit I need a t5.1 vw grill badge and also the plastic screws to attach the grill. But doing all that with 6 kids and the youngest being 1year old I’m 2weeks and I also have a 2year old then the other kids the oldest is 16 and next is 13 then 12 then 9. So it’s a busy day everyday Your van is beautiful I love it the colour is fantastic and truly a one-off good work I have bought a few bits from you for the van and always get then fast delivery thank you Keep up the good work guys Regards Adam
Don't facelift it. Keep it pre-face. Face lifted vans will be worth less in the future. Imagine an early bay with a late bay front. No one would touch it. Sell your facelift kit to fund part of the rest of the build.
HQ need to come up with their own retro fit digital dash for the T5/T6 platform. That would be epic!!!!!! 😮

To many questions. Double glazed windows, what, why, how much, where from? What was the plastic pipe at the rear of the pop top coming into the van?
pipes are drainage for the guttering around the roof
