    In this episode of the Stronger After Stroke podcast, we meet Flannery O’Neil and hear about her experience having a stroke in her 30’s. After her stroke, Flannery experienced aphasia, which is a language disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate. Flannery shares what it was like not being able to communicate her thoughts and emotions in her early recovery period. Flannery also shares techniques and resources that were most effective in re-learning speech and other skills. Rosa Hart, BSN, RN, SCRN is the stroke nurse navigator for Norton Healthcare and hosts the discussion.
