Definitely comes from playing so much 40k, and swapping armies every 3 months or so.
The secret is, if you understand an armies playstyle the actual rules they have are just the window dressing - you need to remember them sure, but they don't affect the decision making as much as knowing how a Gunline plays into an aggressive army for example

Great batrep! The overall result is solid but I have a feeling that the pieces that do well are the boss on Wyvern and the boarboys rather than the trolls? Is the troll horde a lesser nomadic waaaagh list?
I think MSU (units of 4) Trolls are the way to go - but yes, the support units do a lot of work for the list! Double Wyvern is a consideration

What would you tweak if you could edit the list now? There’s not too many ways to get ranged control into a troll horde list.
Level 4 Battle Magic caster with Ruby Ring and Lore Familiar.
Double Fireball and a Pillar of Flame is a full armies worth of shooting

Hard to say, I think the list needs a full rewrite due to the cap on Warboss & Orc Casters.
Maybe the Wyvern has to be the thing that goes?
@@CloseOrder yeah I think so. But it is such a useful threat, as shown in this game!
Have you found much use for ravenous recourse? As a conveyance spell it doesn't buff charging and as ogdruz isn't stupid I find he gets left behind by the Trolls?
RR is great!
It lets the Troll Hag keep up better, and gets you into charge range T2 if your opponent doesn't walk forward (but depolys on or near the line)
@@CloseOrder so one to take vs defensive armies? I have been taking big smartz and rapid regen in every game, but not sure on the 3rd spell. I have tried a few combinations but the 2 times I tried ravenous recourse I just failed to cast it at all and as a result it felt like a waste.
Troll brainz was entertaining vs undead though as it stalled a unit a couple of times due to their terrible leadership
Appreciate the video, but are you misunderstanding lore Familiar and arcane Familiar?
My interpretation of the rules is he can take any 3 spells from troll or elementalism? Thus has been the same opinion or TOs in my area
So, Ogdruz's rules say he knows spells from Troll Lore AND Elementalism.
RAW he can pick spells from both
