Shroom you can use vacuum cleaner to vacuum your baits to keep fresh in any plastic bag
Yep, I've considered a vacuum sealer. I may still get one, would be good
@@ShroomFishing Hey boys you can use a bucket of water and slowly lower the zip lock bag with the bait in into the water just up to the zip. Water pressure will force the air up and out. Exactly like a vacuum. Zip it off pull out of the water and it should be air free. Pretty sure there would be a vid on RUclips for it my uncle showd me when I was a kid. Old technique 😊

@@ShroomFishing yes basically a fad for any Jew around. If there was any decent fish around that would’ve gotten eaten. Even one only a metre long will eat a tailor over 30cm. Don’t be scared to throw big baits. No such thing as too big. One time I had a 50cm tailor eaten by a jewfish.

Shit ya would think there would be good jew with cold weather. Ripper about qld is cast net herring and mullet live full on here with cold snap reef is spot on as well big blue trout over the 10 kg and big grunter on in shor gravel patches.

@@ShroomFishing yer best time is now tailor fillets or live for jew or big trophy fathead Brisbane area nice fish of 997mm caught on that bait any surf on a main beach that has tailor will hold big jew and flathead.same for big snapper love a big slab of tailor. Keep that in mind when back on the bait fishing.

I was using the Shakespeare Alphas Surf 6-12kg 12ft Phillip, hard to cast but handles the weight easy

Dude just go back to lure fishing. I haven’t try bait fishing for 10 years ever since I got fish on lure. The last time I tried fishing with bait, I felt asleep 😂. Can’t stand on those smell on hands.
Haha I pretty much specialise in lures, only doing baits because it’s always nice to have variety in all types of fishing. Fly fishing too 👍
shroom how do you cast far with small lures like the jigheads. im trying to learn as each time i cast its a few feet away from me.
Adrian, it could be the gear you are using. Light and thin line especially braid makes the biggest difference in the cast. Is your line thick?
@@ShroomFishing thw gear i use is a 9 feet ugly stick gx with a 4000 reel and the line is 40 pound test

@@adrianrodriguez9582 yep, that’s a medium heavy gear so it’s normal to not cast far. You’ll need another combo, I’ll link you a video I made that will help explain things
