Nice! I recently bought a gently used Voigtlander 58mm F/1.4 in Sapporo. This is my favorite lens, despite the heavy, all metal build + nikon f-mount adapter on my A7Cii. The bokeh is delicious, the contrast crisp, and the color rendition excellent. Is it possible to rehouse nikon F-Mount vintage lenses to sony emount…?
Where did you get it in Sapporo? Would love to check out that store!! And ya I think there’s an adapter for it or maybe custom mount from a rehousing company!
Hey😊, I had a ZV e10 for my first 2 years of videography and content creation and I think I used it to the limit(i hate the 8bit, the low light and the stabilization issues). Thats why I'm about to buy an upgrade and I'm struggling to decide between fx30 zve1 and A7c2. I do know all the specs already but still not sure about what to pick. The fx30 is more reliable and marketed as a small fx3. I would get the fx3 if I had the money for it (so not for now). Then the zve1 has better stability and way better low light performance and dynamic range but seems to overheat. Also I don't need so many vlogging features like cinemativ mode or easy to use overlay and the question is if more low light is more important than having more lights with the fx30. I do know my craft to some degree by now. Do you have a good advice? I know with good lighting everything can look good also apsc but buying and carrying these lights is also to consider. And there are also the a7cii and a7iv with other cons. Thank you for you good videos in gernerall by the way 😊I hope you can help me. (I'm definitely video first person, and I do videos style like gawx and life if riza)
3:00 Helios was used in the batman in one shot in the car scene, because it was cheep and replaceble. So they dont destroy 20k usd lenses that was ACUALLY used to shot the film. Dont romanize it. And those car scene shots looked ass.
Isn't that what I showed and mentioned? The beauty of a look is subjective so your opinion is valid but I really like that scene even if you didn't think it was good and if I want to romanticize it, let me do it out of respect of other's opinions.
when i read your caption, my brain said "it must be Helios" and i was right hahahaha i had 2 type of helios one from USSR and one from Unknown (because when i got it on local used market, old man who sell it say "it was heirloom from my Grandpa) both are like 2 different character but both never leave my camera bag!
ahahah yeah it's such a cool little lens. Even the other kinds have their own unique character. I've been bringing this everywhere with me too. You can't beat it for the price.
@@AndyAksen It's not a massive jump in terms of quality but in terms of workflow, it's something different! I'm going through the ropes right now and hope to share my transition to it at some point!
I like the convenience and the guaranteed quality of letting them source it. It’s a hit or miss when you are buying used on eBay, and there is often fungus and oil. These guys clean it, and they even add 16 blades to the aperture, which is actually sobering that would be pretty hard as far as I know to do yourself. I’d rather let the pros manage it.

Just keep doing what you are doing. The scenes are just😮
Your style for anamorphinc/cinema lens go together soooo well
Thanks dude!! Helios gotta shine
Incredible lens! Now I'm really considering buying it in the near future

I have been wanting to get my helios modded for years
Now’s the time man! Super fun once you mod it!
It’s great but without a stabilizer oc
I had a Helios 44-2 a bit over 4 years ago definitely not modded shot on an old Fuji with an adapter. It might have still been radioactive LOL.
LOL.. imagine developing some mutation.. you have built in false colours in your eyes. Voila... cinema
when i read your caption, my brain said "it must be Helios"
and i was right hahahaha

i have an unmodded version on my a6600 and love it! Wanna get a cinemod at some point :)
You can mod it yourself if you have time :D
I ordered one a while back from a different seller (works great but not as "pretty" esthetically 😅) and I'm taking it to Seoul in a few days, as well
As long as it's a helios it'll be amazing! Amazing man, you'll love filming in Seoul. Let me know how it goes!
unfortunately the helios link does not work for me :c
Thank you! I have updated it! should work now :)
hii victorr big fan from toronto canada
super grateful thank youuuu
Yes Victor, buy the blackmagic pyxis and tell me if its good! 😁😅😜
It’s goooooooooood 👀👀👀 been testing it recently
@@VictorLaforteza Haha, I have a Sony A7 IV and I'm thinking about buying the Pyxis as well. But Than also L-mount lenses, so I'm still hesitating. ;)

is it compatible with apsc
Yes!
Hey Victor! What are your thoughts about using this on a cam with an aps-c sensor, liek the fx30?
Maybe a little bit too cropped but it can be easily used for portraits. You might not get the full effect of the swirly bokeh though
Where can i buy
Right here ! geni.us/helios442
I honestly dont think its worth to payt he 300 to Iron glas for the cine mod, is VERY easy to do by yourself. The rehouse, different story.
I totally get it but the same concept apply to changing your engine oil. It's very easy to do but people still go pay for convenience.
@@VictorLaforteza Haha, fair point, however in this case it is still more convenient to do it yourself, as oposed to waiting for it to ship :P
They good at something, and they prob don't wanna do it fir free lol 😅
@@jacksonlevlog9963 Not sure what gives you the idea that I implied they should do it for free.
I was saying people can do it theirselves for free.
