thnaks for the teardown. this speaker looks very much the same as XB23 i have, i got a pair of it, used for job sites. the main issue the volume not loud enough and battery sucks. I have added 2 more 18650 into each speaker, and now battery issue is solved since i am using 2 stereo mode, it is just loud enough. for the price of those, i dont think it is worth it. back to the one in the video, looks like the same one, also feels like there are a lot wasted space in the speaker, they can either make it smaller, or fit bigger driver and more battery init. but it is major tech company, whatever.
i'm suprised that many stereo speakers on the market now has the 2 drivers sharingthe same space. Then what is the purpose of having 2 drivers any more? Also won't it damage the driver a lot easier when we play music that tends to jump from side to side with heavy bass?
I get what Sony was doing with the line-shaped diffuser on the front of their new Bluetooth speaker lineup: a similar technology has been used in concerts for over 2 decades now. However, I don’t like the implementation of the technology. These can’t compete with the Soundlink Flex or flip 6 even though they are in stereo.
Great. Very good video. I have a question. Please answer it for me. Once the entire speaker is disassembled, it will lose its resistance to water and dust, right??😊😊😊😊
@@FranciscoSilva-by6ld I think it's a problem with the circuit board/motherboard. Just very bad design not made to last. The charge lights still turn on when plugged in but yeah it won't turn on. I just bought a different speaker
Nice videos! I would love if you can take a close look at the ICs part number. This would very beneficial for ppl like me who like to develop hardware and curious about how it’s built. Thanks and keep it up 👍🏻
@@LindonSlaght 2020 models not bad, but not good. The main problem of new speakers 2019-2023 is poor quality of materials and bad sound. Sadly, I have Charge 5 and i can't recommend this speaker.
@@mykyta_go5hko have you heard the XB33 in stereo mode with another XB33? Until you have, I don't think you have room to judge. There is a great difference in sound quality.
Exactly what I needed. I bought a cheap one off the internet and just need a new battery

Excelente aporte....(Aunque no entiendo lo que dice ...le agradezco mucho su video)...saludos ❤❤
can be reassembled without the line shape diffuser?? I have it and i dont like how it sounds...
Ese dispositivo tiene los bajos secos a comparación del SRS-XB23 de calidad superior.
I’m trying to identify the precise location of the microphone. You went so fast through that part of the teardown I wasn’t able to pick it out.
its the ribbon cable at the end of the video. 6:25

It depend on how well you put the speaker back together and if any of the seal are damaged or not.

Waterproof is the priority, but it's a terrible-sounding speaker
All new speakers are terrible, JBL, Sony...
