Your titles of the videos are deceiving that’s why people question your ability to catch fish …..your title slab crappie and you haven’t caught one should read Sardis Spillway crappie fishing not slab crappie because you haven’t caught a slab.

Just adjust your cork to the depth of the area you are fishing, go to your local Walmart a get a 7ft B&M Sam Heaton Super Sensitive rod , it’s cheaper than ACC rods and better , and I stand on that , give it a try ,.
Here's my masters technique...take off your float..when u are in the high current area...cast out just far enuff where u can control your bait and let the current stabilize and keep your bait in place..keep it off the bottom to prevent snags..use ur rod tip the lower it is the deeper ur jig will be..this is without doing any reeling just pop your bait...pause ....then pop it again.. this technique will get u all kinds of strikes..and u will see BIG fish be in high current sometimes so I hope u use some good line when u in that high current a 3 pound crappie gone feel like u done hooked a Cadillac ..
In that faster water try ya a spinner, them crappies will hammer em. Also you can use a minnow as a trailer on your jig. Hook him thru the lips right on your jig hook

Get the right plastic baits , you should be throwing slip cork rig in the slack water, use color jig heads 1/16 pink , orange, Bobby Garland plastics.
