I have these three suitcases on my KLR650 and it's crazy how practical and it changes the life to be able to carry so much. We are never unprepared. My partner just bought a vulcan 650 and we will put him a seat with back (like yours) for our 11 year old boy and the supports for the side suitcases. Thank you this video suits me that this is the right thing to do.
Happy to see you put this video online. I just bought a vulcan and ordered this pannier set and I definitely like how it looks. Way better than the official kawasaki cases which are 500$ more expensive and are only 11 liters. nice job!
I have the exact same bike, same colours etc. Still breaking it in. Waiting for a Madstad windshield. Really like your Givi paniers. It gives the bike a whole new capability. The capability to travel if you can pack really light.
I ordered the same setup. The backrest will be here (Thailand) by DHL from Italy on Friday. The Trekker 33 panniers are in stock. The custom mounting rack will be here next month. I'm thinking of mounting a rear-facing camera to one E33 bag as well. I have a front-facing camera on my helmet. Thanks for the video!
Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for posting this video. I was having a hard time finding cases I liked for my 2016 Vulcan S and did a Google for "Vulcan S hard case" and found your video. I installed the Trekker 33 liters today and they look awesome! The all black cases with the matte orange paint goes great. Let me know the best way and I will send you a photo.
Just remember not to go in between cars with the paniers on could be really nasty , looks great im waiting for my Vulcan s 650 to be delivered should be good very soon i cannot wait to get back on a bike again Its been many years too many .
I received and mounted the Trekker 33 cases! I will mention that the instructions are worthless! The photo didn't match the rack I purchased. No explanation which OEM bolts to use oor remove. Spaces are provided but not explained. It took several tries and several hours to get the racks mounted so the cases did not hit the rear signals. I love the look of the cases and how secure they lock to the racks. I installed AdMore LED lights on the ceases as well. They add considerably to visibility and safety.
+MrEye4get yes that's why I didn't go for the 46's. The bars stick out maybe an inch more than the cases. Remember they're there though when cutting through traffic! 😀
the part that sucks about these is they are not top loading , when you loaded up the shopping you saw why .., and you have the same P.I.T.A when you unload it.
Hey, great video. Do you know what is the top weight you load on each side with these bars you picked? And the top weight the back rack can support? I'm considering it for some hiking and my tent is pretty heavy. Thank!
as much as i like black the fact that kawi made so many markets outside of the USA and i assume japan have only that color available was sad..... my SE came in this beautiful coppery orange that also had a kind of chameleon flake to it.
MasterSpin77 Me too. There’s something a little more practical about the Vulcan S in my opinion. The sort of cruiser that you don’t have to spend hours polishing, just enjoy, rinse and repeat.
Was there any drilling involved when installing the Givi Sissybar? I'm thinking if I am to get the Vulcan, I'd want a sissybar for the Mrs also. The Shad Sissybar, requires some drilling onto some plastic bit where the panniers go, I believe. And I'd rather not be drilling anything on any part of the gorgeous bike lol.
the cases come as either single for use as a tail case(ie trunk) or you can buy them in a pair which is about 600-700 dollars for the trekker 33s and then another 200-300 for the monokey attachment rails. and another 200-300 for the back rest. if you plan on doing two i recommend you buy them in a pair as the keys will work for both cases... if you buy them one at a time your gonna have key madness the best thing about mono key system is if you have another bike you only have to get a mono key rack for that bike and your cases work on both. wish i could find some harley sportster mono key racks ... but they apparently stopped making them.
+sheehan55 thanks mate. I got mine from here www.motorcycleplanet.co.uk/ not sure what country you hail from but sure you'll find your equivalent easy enough. Thanks again 😀
Great video. Thanks. Picking up my Vulcan Friday. Switching from a Versys for the ergos. I'll be adding the same Givi panniers, racks, and Kawi footpegs and pillion seat. Also looking at a sissy bar. Two questions. Did you need any additional Kawi bits to mount the Givi rack and 33s? And, is there a reason you went with the Givi sissy bar rather than the quick release Kawi? Thanks again!
+Barry Polis hey man I went with the full givi system as I wasn’t sure if you could mix the two. And now the givi set comes complete with fixtures. No extra bits or modifications required 😀
Looks like a great choice to me. How do you find the stability and weight with a pillion and a weeks shopping? In the past we have taken my Honda CBF 1000 to the Highlands with equivalent weight load and you notice the handling changes a little as you would expected but....your bike has a lower centre of gravity but maybe not so comfortable for the pillion. Certainly one that appeals to me though, the Vulcan. A cruiser style with a practical engine layout. Very nice 👍
Thanks man, as with yours you do notice a slight lack in “flippability” and you have to be a bit heavier with the throttle but it’s negligible. The mrs did complain after 7 hours on the back but who wouldn’t. The sissy bar helped her a great deal being able to lean back.
These are nice but the cost will be over $1000 USD. $718 for the luggage and $234 for the mounts. Add tax and shipping in and that's nearly 1100 for vinyl boxes with a lock on them. Seems a bit over priced.
Hi hope you are well.. I am thinking about buying the Givi panniers and rack and may at a later date want to add the back rest. Could you let me know if the fitting of these is totally independent from each other? In other words if I buy and fit the panniers first does it interfere with fitting the back rest later. Many thanks
I'm interested to know how these bags impact your lane filtering and if they can carry a macbook pro (15") ? I'm looking to get my backpack off my back and carry what I need on-board. The other issue I think I'll have with any form of onboard storage is what bags do I put in my bags so it's all transportable when I park up and have to get to work/gym?
Hey mate, I can fit my laptop bag for work which contains a wierd assortment of bits and bobs (including a laptop) into one of the cases. I chose cases which hold a lot but don’t extend in width passed my bar ends. Care does need to taken when filtering however, just remember you’ve got them on and give yourself a little time to get in between the lanes (careful of last minute decisions to cut in). On a final note givi sell waterproof liners separately for the cases bit more money to an already costly setup though. Happy trials!!!
Hey, I have a question, How do you find the suspension with all the extra weight on it? with the extra passenger and then having the cases full. I am kind of a big guy and I heard that the suspension gets a bit rough with just a big rider on it.
+1Nixx1 hey nixx I did notice it was a little low when fully loaded. Ride was fine though. If anything the bike comes with the suspension set a little too hard. I'm 76kg and the suspension can bounce me about a bit during normal rides. I'm yet to experiment with the suspension settings. I think you'll be fine. Worth a test ride though 😀
Hi, I'm the owner of Vulcan S 2016, one month ago I bought trekker 33 (based on your video - many thanks). Unfortunatelly there is sill the issue with helmet. Did you investigate if any top case will fit to Vulcan ? I saw somewhere universal rack for custom motorcyle...
I really like these black ones better than the aluminum. Does anyone know if a dual sport helmet fits inside these 33 liters? Or it has to be the bigger one?
+highonimmi yes you can, you can see my wife's legs on the vid in the way back, she actually prefers it when I have the panniers on as it gives her two side grab handles. Thanks for watching man , ride safe mate👍
ohhh..i now understand what I was looking at.....I take it your sissy bar is givi as well....I apologize if you said so, I am from the Midwest (us) and I didn't understand some of what you were saying..... thanks again for the video....as a female, you putting the installation process on tape makes it much easier to figure out if I want to tackle this. not too bad...I think I can do this:)
Hi..loved your video on the installation process. How is the bike with pillion? Can the rear suspension cope with all the weight? Also can it do touring 2 up say 300 miles a day? Thanks.
+CERIABEST SB I've been out fully loaded and think the suspension will need to be hardened a click. I'm planning on doing a 1000 mile round trip in a couple of weeks with the Mrs so I'll let you all know how it goes 😀 thanks for watching!

Bike was fine but i did notice a slight shimmy on the front end if Loosened my grip. Nothing dangerous and it went away the harder i set the suspension.
What? WHAT? WHATTT!? Sorry, couldn't hear a word with normal volume, especially after that loud music introduction. Otherwise, nice hard saddle bags. I might have to get some of those. Do they rattle while riding?
hi,thinking of buying this bike, but concerned that both me and the missus at 12.5 stone each will be too heavy for the chassis/suspention,any thoughts on that bud
+Glyn Greenwood hi mate both me and the wife are around that weight. I've gone two up with full panniers and the suspension handled it just fine without any adjustment so there's always the option of stiffening it up or damping it down depending on your personal preference. I personally love this bike so I hope you get it and love it as much as I do ✌🏻
+Jan it doesn't fit in a 33, they make 46 too. The 46 is big enough for two full faced lids. The 46 mounts to the side just like the 33's on the same rack. Hope this helps?
+Colin Johnstone as long as I remember they're there when entering into filtering they're fine. I don't run them permanently though they're there purely for long rides and the occasional shop run. Might have to have a look at the e22's to live in the bike though.
+Mark Masztal yes they lock closed and the panniers themselves lock to the racks. Called the monokey system as if you buy them as a pair there's one key to unlock both (don't worry you get spares😀).
really class looking ,, health to enjoy ,,, I set my shock to 6 and I'm a heavy weight lol with the wee honey on the back its fine still plenty of zip ... I went for e22 givi panniers ... great video keep them coming ....
+Jason Walton depends how much filtering you plan on doing mate. The 46L are BIG. They bring the width of the bike out past the handle bars. I filter a lot so 46's were too wide for my taste. But if it's motorway cruising go for it!
My commute to work is not far and usually very little traffic, its mainly to store helmet etc... (and the odd weekend trip) dont trust the helmet locker at work so much as I have no control of it. Might have to just bite the bullet and risk it
+quicksilver40 she says it wasn't too bad getting on (the low seat height makes it easier). When riding she loves em. They provide a kinda of low arm rest on either side with grab handles.
If you're going to post vids on an American website like RUclips, then call them what Americans call them.... saddlebags. Otherwise, not many people are going to know what you're talking about. "Panniers" are large baskets that you put on an ox to carry things...they are also part of a woman's dress back in the old days. Saddlebags originated on horses and are a much more accurate description.
I love how you assembled it over a drain grate. Life on the edge!
That's his room door

+Auberge Sur le Fleuve more than welcome.
Those cases looks amazing on this bike. The bike itself doesn't look like it's made in 60', so modern look of cases fits perfectly ;)
+zzaaggaa thanks man.
I like big butts! I can not lie!
Happy to see you put this video online. I just bought a vulcan and ordered this pannier set and I definitely like how it looks. Way better than the official kawasaki cases which are 500$ more expensive and are only 11 liters. nice job!

It's a givi back rest and luggage rack. Think they're having you on. Check out the Givi website. It's got a bike configurator.
I have this setup on my Vulcan s with a GoPro mount on the rear outside pannier. Footage a bit unsteady but not too bad.
Achei este conjunto da Givi perfeito para a Vulcan S. Pena que aqui no Brasil o valor final fica absurdamente elevado.
Parabéns pela aquisição...
Ồ tôi rất thích video của bạn
This was a great review. I just ordered mine for my vulcan. Thank you.
Chief, good videography work for this presentation.👍😁.I know you'll grow in your abilities and the production is going to get top notch! Doug🏍️🐻🤓🧸
Very helpful video...really nice selection of these Givi's!

+Chris Geiss glad to hear it. My instagram is patchypilgrim share away! 😀
Good to seethe. On a non adventure bike, always thought they look good on a regular bike. Thinking about fitting some to my Harley.
I'm your hundred subscriber so, Congratulations for achieving a hundred subscribers!!
Nice video!
+Mustang Records thanks man! 100 subscribers... wow 😀
Just remember not to go in between cars with the paniers on could be really nasty , looks great im waiting for my Vulcan s 650 to be delivered should be good very soon i cannot wait to get back on a bike again Its been many years too many .
They do appear wider than the handlebars! I'm not much of a lane splitter, but good advice!
+MrEye4get as long as I don't forget they're there I do filter fine.
Awesome looking bike man!
Love the looks but wish these were not so expensive
Removeable saddle-bags. Awesome! too bad I already purchased a different set.
I received and mounted the Trekker 33 cases! I will mention that the instructions are worthless! The photo didn't match the rack I purchased. No explanation which OEM bolts to use oor remove. This bike is my dream...but I'm only 18 :( awesome video :)
+Tomi Tóth thanks mate.
im only 18 mate and i fully own one of these just got to work and work
Yep :) but you don't live in Hungary :D in Hungary you can get driving licence to bike only in your 21s :D where do you live?
oh i see i live in New Zealand you can get it at 16 here
Oo I envy you :/ Hungary is a poor but very beutiful country
Those are amazing!! Gorgeous bike man. I love it.
Would be helpful to mention preload adjustment for rear spring no?
the part that sucks about these is they are not top loading , when you loaded up the shopping you saw why .., and you have the same P.I.T.A when you unload it.
Thank you for share. Your bike it´s so pretty
It was a good review! & I Like Vulcan S ! so cool! Watching from japan
Thank you, so cool i helped someone so far away!
Hardcore adventure!
is there still room for a pillion rider at the back with those boxes on? Just wondering. Looks sweet though :)
Ciao quanti litri contengono queste valige? Il costo? Vorrei metterle anche sul mio Vn900 grazie ciao
How are these are you still using them? also were the inner- bags provided? Cheers
Hey, great video. Do you know what is the top weight you load on each side with these bars you picked? And the top weight the back rack can support? I'm considering it for some hiking and my tent is pretty heavy. Thank!
I assume you can fit in a full face helmet?
Thanks for the video, pointles101. Where did you buy these from? I cant seem to find them cheaper than £660.
as much as i like black the fact that kawi made so many markets outside of the USA and i assume japan have only that color available was sad..... my SE came in this beautiful coppery orange that also had a kind of chameleon flake to it.

Is the stay used pl4115 (95921)?
i have this exact set of accessories from givi. ran me about 1200 dollars if i dont count the passenger seat and pegs

Hello, you would have to take the rack off again to mount the sissy bar. Quite an easy procedure though.
I'm interested to know how these bags impact your lane filtering and if they can carry a macbook pro (15") ? I'm looking to get my backpack off my back and carry what I need on-board. +AA BB there isn't one from givi. A helmet will fit in the 46 which will mount to the side as the 33 does. Thanks for watching 😀
I really like these black ones better than the aluminum.
Does anyone know if a dual sport helmet fits inside these 33 liters? Or it has to be the bigger one?
Anyone? I know my shoei flip lid doesn’t fit
Is the Givi Sissy Bar high enough so that the passenger can fully lend with her bag against it? Thanks in advance for your answer ! :-)
The sissy bar comes up to the small of her back.
I cant tell but can you have a passenger when the panniers are attached? nice video...I love my Vulcan s.
+highonimmi yep the sissy bar and luggage rack are both givi to. You're welcome, glad it helped!
Nice Vid !
Wanted to ask , hows the passenger riding comfort on this bike for long trip ?
The mrs managed 6 hrs on the back. Sissy bar was a good purchase though.
@@pointless101_8 Thats great , thanks for the quick reply ! Ride safe bud
Pointless101 _ thanks for the quick reply mate. seems to be a great bike for touring. all the best to you on your trip and have fun..cheers
Just got back. Toured two up with a huge luggage roll and full panniers. Crank that suspension way up! I think i took too much. Did 200 plus miles a day. Bike was fine but i did notice a slight shimmy on the front end if Loosened my grip. Nothing dangerous and it went away the harder i set the suspension.
Pointless101 _ thanks mate.. that was very helpful.I hope you enjoyed your trip.Any video on your trip?
+CERIABEST SB coming out in the next week or so. A LOT of footage 😀
What? WHAT? WHATTT!? Sorry, couldn't hear a word with normal volume, especially after that loud music introduction. Otherwise, nice hard saddle bags. I might have to get some of those. Do they rattle while riding?
+quicksilver40 NO! Loud enough? 😈 They don't rattle (well damped) sorry about the sound bud, did explain in the description 😳
Love it I would be getting 1 when I sell my training bike now I’ve past 🏍🏍🏍
Welcome to the club!
hi,thinking of buying this bike, but concerned that both me and the missus at 12.5 stone each will be too heavy for the chassis/suspention,any thoughts on that bud
+Glyn Greenwood hi mate both me and the wife are around that weight. I've gone two up with full panniers and the suspension handled it just fine without any adjustment so there's always the option of stiffening it up or damping it down depending on your personal preference. I personally love this bike so I hope you get it and love it as much as I do ✌🏻
My vote is for the hard bags! Leather bags are for the 50+ crowd lol. 🏍😎🏍
Do you have any part numbers for the bags and the mount for the Vulcan S?
I don’t mate, go onto Givi’s there’s a bike selection. Select the Vulcan and it comes up with parts available for the bike.
New Subscriber here! Nice work! :)
Thanks . Im go to buy box. I like it
Seems an awful lot of weight for the cases, what is the max. load?
No idea 😂 they did fine though...
How did your passenger like sitting with the cases? My biggest concern with getting these was that they would get in the way of my girlfriends legs.
+Dave Millions she actually preferred it. Gave her some optional hand holds 😀
+Dave Millions didn't interfere with her sitting position in the slightest.
Great to hear. I'm gonna probably go with the fully Givi kit soon, then.
Do you know if a helmet fits in the case?
+Jan it doesn't fit in a 33, they make 46 too. The 46 is big enough for two full faced lids. The 46 mounts to the side just like the 33's on the same rack. Hope this helps?
absolutely, thanks mate
Do you find the Trekker 33's quite wide? I went for the givi E22, just wondering if the make filtering hard?
+Colin Johnstone as long as I remember they're there when entering into filtering they're fine. I don't run them permanently though they're there purely for long rides and the occasional shop run. Might have to have a look at the e22's to live in the bike though.
Pointless101 _ I fancy eventually getting the bigger ones for the longer journey etc. E22 have done us well so far though.
Where is the best place to get a set of these
+chris baker the bought mine online. Shop around 😀
I wonder how much drag these add.
Wasn’t exactly aerodynamic in the first place 😂
E il topbox?
Good job and nice video to..
Are the video bags 33 liters or 46 liters? Thank you
+Diego Alcoba 33's mate. The 46's made the bike two wide to lane split easily.
Thanks, in the 33 enters a full-hull or jet? Sorry for my English
+Diego Alcoba not sure what you mean there Diego do you mean a full face helmet? If you do then no you would need the 46l for that. 😀
Are the bags secure from theft?
+Mark Masztal yes they lock closed and the panniers themselves lock to the racks. Called the monokey system as if you buy them as a pair there's one key to unlock both (don't worry you get spares😀).
really class looking ,, health to enjoy ,,, I set my shock to 6 and I'm a heavy weight lol with the wee honey on the back its fine still plenty of zip ... I went for e22 givi panniers ... great video keep them coming ....
Thanks again pj
D. They look like gun cases full of machine guns.
Does anyone have the link on where to buy them?
You have to find your local dealer I got mine from sports bike direct. Givi to deal in the uk they just supply retailers.
What frames are that? Are the kawasaki frames or givi?
+Nelson Fernandes hey mate they're for the givi trekker panniers.
Pointless101 _ could you give me the link of them? Btw greath vid. The bike its really cool! I have one with delkevic exhaust and i love the sound!
+Nelson Fernandes thanks man. Scroll up the comments I've already given the link. Might have to look at that exhaust 😀

Hey great video!
Do you think the 46L pair would look too wide? On the verge of buying but ideally would fit my helmet for the commute
Thanks
+Jason Walton depends how much filtering you plan on doing mate. The 46L are BIG. They bring the width of the bike out past the handle bars. I filter a lot so 46's were too wide for my taste. But if it's motorway cruising go for it!
My commute to work is not far and usually very little traffic, its mainly to store helmet etc... (and the odd weekend trip) dont trust the helmet locker at work so much as I have no control of it. Might have to just bite the bullet and risk it
+Jason Walton let me know how they work out dude!
Music is extremely loud! Voice is so low I gave up on it.
i just realized i watched this video before and may have said the same thing i said today.... in the comments.
TY by brazil
Music loud but I can't hear you.
Apologies mate
What are your thoughts after 1 year of owning them?
Easy to use and versatile. Great purchas all in all.
How does your wife like them when she's trying to get on and off the bike? Or while riding? do they cramp her legs or get in the way?
+quicksilver40 she says it wasn't too bad getting on (the low seat height makes it easier). When riding she loves em. They provide a kinda of low arm rest on either side with grab handles.

can't hear a word your saying.
My mic took a knock.
Your voice is really quiet , can't hear what you're saying.
Sorry about that mate, was having mic issues with the go pro
If you're going to post vids on an American website like RUclips, then call them what Americans call them.... saddlebags. Otherwise, not many people are going to know what you're talking about. "Panniers" are large baskets that you put on an ox to carry things...they are also part of a woman's dress back in the old days. Saddlebags originated on horses and are a much more accurate description.
Not dignifying that with an answer 😂😜🏴
This is by far the most entitled ignorant post I have ever seen in some time now. You are the reason why people think Americans are stupid. Do better.
