This is the perfect review... I was looking for something actually simple which wouldn't make me burst into tears!! :P And you're right... Although I had to set my planter down right side up (already had a plant in it) and tie around the container so I could get the measurements right. Would recommend!
finally an easy tutorial for which you don't have to learn three different macramé knots first - I am BAD at handicraft, people! seriously though, it looks lovely. I'd love more room decor diys :)
I was looking for a tutorial, expecting to need macrame cords etc but this was so surprisingly beginner friendly and made me use my twine instead of buying new materials. I love using stuff I already have at home. Thank you for the lovely and quick tutorial, the lil plant looks so cosy in the planter hanging in the air.
I used to work in a hardware store where we would sell a very similar knot patterned holder like this but with different strings. It was $20 each. Thank you for this video because jute twine is only like $3.
Thats what i thought aswell. I work in a garden center and they go for like 25 Dollars each. Its crazy. I started making my own with jute string. looks and feels a lot better when its made by yourself.
Thank you! Finally found someone sharing a very basic and straightforward video about how to ( simply ) hang a plant without making sound like we're kinda getting into mars! Love your craft, care and voice too 🙏🏼🥰
Watched and tried a slightly simpler version just before watching this. It didn't work due to a lack of stability. Your method is not only much more solid, but also way prettier while still being relatively simple. I love it and I'm sure my girlfriend will too. Thank you so much! ❤
Thank you for that vid! Yes, please do send more of this sort of thing! I think everyone will agree with me, we love hearing your beautiful voice and accent, and seeing how to live a simple life, and still have fun! Thank you from Devon. xxx
Niamh, you have such a wonderful way of making things look good - and doable. This is just lovely, and I'm definitely going to try it. Thank for posting this, as always. Hope you're well.
Thank you! been watching so many videos so I can make some for my indoor plants but all those knots talks got my brain cell knotted... finally found this one! where it was actually easy & simple.. god bless you
This was so cute and easy! I got it on my first try, which is exceedingly rare. Looks adorable! Planning to make 3 for each window in my home, and the husband will be stoked to have less of our floor space taken up my plants...
Just now getting here. It was interesting learning how to say your name, Niamh (neve). Thank you so much for the Irish tongue and tutorial. If there was any place I would visit it would be Ireland!
I was gonna buy a new one but then I thought to myself I have all this extra rope. Let me see if RUclips has anything that I can use. I came across your post and I have to say. It is as easy as you said it would be. Saved me money that's for sure. Thank You and Stay Safe. V.
@@FairylandCottage I really enjoyed this crafty video. As drilling is not allowed in my Swiss apartment ceiling it is not the end of my world. Yes, I would love to see more videos like this and also how you take care of your plants. I saw in one of your video that you have a Pilea Peperromioides. I would love to see how you take care of your Pilea and all. Once again, thank you for this video. :-)
Easiest tutorial ever! And I somehow managed to jack it up....made the mistake of planting the flower in the pot first then trying to do this by eyeballing it. Cut the rope way too short and uneven, also the rope I used is too thick. And used dull scissors to cut the rope. And I stupidly allowed my cats to be in the room with me. 🤦🏼♀️ don’t be like me. Actually watch the video step by step. I made the mistake of watching the video a week ago and tried to do it by memory. I am a dummy. Listen to the smart woman in the video.
Oof - my plant and dirt are already in the pot, but fortunately I have a second identical pot, so I'll use that for measuring (instead of planning to try using the current planted pot). Thanks for the heads up!
@@alisunnie Oh my god I completely forgot about this 😂😂😂 I ended up buying an actual plant hammock after this failure. Unfortunately I later accidentally killed the violets I had in it 😅
Wow, thank you very much for this video. You have explained it well. Look, how simple it is to make that pot hanger! I have some big plastic bowls in which I would love to convert them into hanging pots and put some Devil's ivy plants to hang all around my house to increase the green cover.
Thank you so much for an EASY way to do this. I've had a stroke and my learning seems slow anymore BUT this was uncomplicated and helpful. I can do this!
Thanks so much for this! Simple and to the point tutorial and consequently easy to follow for a first timer. I made a lovely plant hanger in 15 min, my first one! Many more are to follow for sure. Thanks.
Ahhh! so cute Niamh. I am a plant mama too, i just love the energy these green beauties bring to a space. Great video once again, this is much more sustainable than the synthetic nylon hangers you see in the shops, and in my opinion a lot prettier. I love your diy videos :)
Well done and thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am going to try this. I bought sisal twine, so first I am going to find out if it's suitable for this.
This was a great tutorial ❤ I love how the instructions included "if it's not right, just jiggle it around a little bit" 😂 thank you so much for this video. Your plants 🪴 are beautiful.
Super basic as you said but very effective. Since lockdown I've gotten back into crafting making pots with concrete and I'm deffinatly going to do the macrami.
Hey, this was actually simple and did not make me burst out in tears. Thank you!
