the reason why you couldnt find any new designs on the islands is becuase the update has to be in a few part or roblox will just break so in the next update 20 update there will be lots of new things added
The scrolls let you "hopefully" get a blessing or curse.Blessings/curses are where your swords/guns get new abilities

FIJI, I have figured out what the scrolls are for. One of the tall towers on the outskirts of tiki outpost, you go up the tower to the top room, you will then see an NPC named Dragon Talon Sage, Talk to him and press enchant, then click sword or gun, then just use the scrolls to enchant your sword or gun. Shoutout maybe?
