    the better translation is, "it is not our eyes that see what we see, but we interpret reality through the physical eyes." so think of it as people wearing different colours of shades of sunglass and perceive different realities that is essentially a single reality, or singularity. So in Buddhism, zen practicing is the realization that we have been wearing the shades all along and are able to take it off by understanding mind itself.

      당신 번역이야 탁월하지만 혜민스님은 원래 한국출생이고 전문 통역사 출신도 아닌데 트집을 잡을 필요가 없지요. 대중들 앞에서 동시통역을 하는건 전문가들에게도 어려운 일이니까요. 이만큼 하시는 것도 정말 대단한 겁니다.

    The yellow flowers are yellow, not because they are yellow!
    They are yellow because "that which perceives", perceives them yellow!
    Without the perception of "that which perceives", the yellow flowers simply don't exist, let alone its colour yellow!
