"Hey guys, I found this super secret hidden weapon on top of the Pyramid in Dogtown! I'm sure nobody else has ever found it, so I'm posting it like I'm revealing some new secret to the community!" Literally half of these videos and posts happen because people blaze through the game and don't pay attention to their surroundings or the dialogue. Although I will admit, I hyperfixate on finding new shit and still get surprised with each playthrough. Just last night, playing Somewhat Damaged, I discovered a hidden path that lets you skip needing to hack dataterminal Sierra and Victor (or whichever the second two are) and go straight to the next sector. It's in some guides, but I didn't see a lot of people talking about it, so it actually does seem less known: You need 20 tech to fix the panel in the storage room near engineering, so you can open the door to the room containing the Erebus blueprint. Grab erebus and all the crafting components in the room (there's a LOT), then look for a yellow ladder on the left side of the room facing from when you walk in. Take it up to the rafters and into the vents. "But wait, isn't that where the murder bot is travelling through?" Yeah, it is, in fact. You'll come to a maintenance hallway with shutters at the end. As soon as the shutters open, duck into the alcove on the left, because ol' Cerberus is comin' through. Once it passes, keep going that way, take a left at the shutters, and there will be a vent opening below you. Jump down, and voila: you just skipped half of the first section of that level, and landed in the big open hallway right after the sealed door you'd usually need to hack completely to open. If you've played this mission before, you'll know what comes next: fuckin' run, like the wind. Hope this helps someone who wants Erebus or the Canto but can't stand the horror of this quest. It's become routine for me, I know all the spots to hide (and now, places to skip entire sections), but I can't say I don't still feel that fight or flight response kick in a little when that thing comes charging at me lol
@TheBetterMe-lb2uw Nice! I would never have got that, always been irrationally worried about ruining the quest somehow or at least making the car hacking/counter-hacking sequence more difficult. Thanks for the tip, choom 😁
@@ChartreuseDan Yeah, that's the trick to it. I'm playing PL for the 3rd time and I never got Rook legitimately, because you apparently have to let the twins have their ENTIRE conversation and Reed is constantly bugging you to take over the car. I haven't hit that mission yet in my 3rd playthrough, so I'll get it legit this time. Still, it isn't hard to miss this weapon if you succumb to time pressure from Reed.
You are literally pointed to this hidden stash in a main mission of the DLC. Not with a quest marker and that is the reason why some players don't know that. Some hidden weapons in the DLC include the gun at the bottom of the pond near the entrance, the axe on top of the big, glowing pyramid, ...
it's part of a GIG in the DLC
Seriously! This is tied to a quest.
I'm surprised that people in Night City are even startled by gun fire.
Maybe because you have the attention span of a goldfish. You can get this by eavesdropping Aurore and Aymeric's convo before hijacking their car.
Exactly lol

A whole secret iconic!? I can't help but wonder where one is supposed to _find_ that code though
You get it by listening to the twin's whole conversation during the car hijacking
