As an actress (even if third rate) she should know that as a supporting act you don’t try to upstage and steal the limelight. She loved every minute of trying to claim a bigger role but in the end could not get over the fact that no matter what, Kate was married to the next in line not her. She probably felt resentful that Harry was just a spare, no matter what. It drove her spare and she probably went on about it to Harry.
