Great review as usual ! Here in Canada, it's called the 'Mitsubishi RVR'. IT might be old technology, but it has proven it's reliability. I was considering the Subary Impreza, but reading the critics, I might not be rich enough to buy all the oil it requires.

The Outlander Sport is a solidly built, dependable vehicle that is comfortable and drives well. Factor in the huge manufacturer rebates Mitsubishi often includes and it's a no-brainer purchase. The only downside is weaker power and lower MPGs compared to others. I find the power good enough though for most situations and I'd personally give up a few MPG in exchange for the proven old technology. Both of my parents bought new Outlander Sports. A 2015 GT and a 2019 ES. They both love theirs and they've been problem-free. I've driven both and like them so much I'm considering one for myself.

I just bought one (2020) about a month ago, and I'm absolutely loving it. I got a great deal on it, it only had 30,000 miles, and because it was a "certified" car, I even got additional miles on the warranty.
It rides well, handles fantastic, gets great gas mileage, and it's a comfortable car to be in.
    And it looks fantastic.💯
I bought a new organizer tray for the inside console compartment, and I was thinking of getting the smoke colored "hood guard" for it. Anyone ever install one?
Regardless, I'm truly loving the car. 🥰

Thank you for the fair review on the Mitsubishi. I have owned new Kias, Hyundais, Chevy and a couple other brands and once we switched to Mitsubishi in 2015 with our Mirage ES and Outlander Sport GT we have now owned 5 Mitsubishis lol (15 Mirage ES, 16 Outlander Sport GT AWC, 17 Mirage G4 SE and now we own two 2019 Eclipse Cross SEL Tourings with S-AWC). We have enjoyed our Mitsubishis more than any other new cars we have owned with other brands. Cant beat the rebates and discounts (we got $6,000.00 to $7,000.00 of our new Eclipse Crosses) Mitsubishi offers plus all the features, great looks, reliability, and long warranty. Cant go wrong!

Joshua Davies you can get $6,000.00 off these where I purchase all my Mitsubishis at Renn Kirby Mitsubishis and they have Outlander Sports, Eclipse Cross, Outlander PHEV and Outlanders new with between $5,000.00 and $10,000.00 off MSRP depending on which model you choose. Plus 10 year powertrain warranty and 5 year roadside assistance.
We got our two brand new 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Tourings with S-AWC top trims in October fully loaded with dual pano roof, 710 watt 9 speaker rockford fosgate audio system, heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, heads up display, remote start, all driver and safety aids, leather, power folding side mirrors, auto dimming rear view mirror with homelink, rain sensing wipers, turbo engine, sliding and reclining rear seats, sos and call center buttons in car, plus app for car, adjustable led headlights, led tail lights, alloys, s-awc and much more. We got $6,000.00 off the one and almost $7,000.00 off the other and was unbeatable brand new and Mitsubishis are reliable (Japanese).
Sure Mitsubishi may not be for everyone but they have been great for us and the brand has proven its self to us over the years with reliability, tons of great features, amazing dealership sales and service experience all 5 times we bought new and every oil change we go for.
My Dad and Grandma only buy Toyotas and they are great cars but so is Mitsubishi. They do what Toyota does and use the same powertrains and platforms (Sequoia, Tundra, Tacoma) for many years so they are time tested proven and reliable. Some people dont like that some do. Brands that change things every few years suffer in reliability. A girl we work with has a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer CVT with over 250,000 miles now. She has changed transmission fluid 3 times and regular maintenance and thats it.

This car sucks. I just bought a 2020 outlander sport with 8k miles, ES. It's getting 23 mpg average with normal driving. The car doesn't move well at low speeds even with your foot down 3/4 of the way on the gas pedal. Only if you almost floor it will the car take off. The exterior looks great, and the interior isn't even that bad. But it's nauseating to drive in the city, and the steering is dull. If you are going to check this car out, make sure you test drive it for long enough so you don't make the same mistake as me. I'll be trading it in when the corolla cross hybrid comes out.

I just got mine too and not sure how to take the eco mode off. Once I get my oil change at 17,000 miles I’m trading mine in for a Toyota Hybird! Which Toyota Hybrid you thinking about getting? Also how much did they charge you for yours? Trying to see how much to pay this truck off until I trade it in.
