I just started using these with templates. I buy them half off at Hobby Lobby when on sale. They don't seem to absorb well in the canvas, seem very cheap. My colors seem to sink. Do you add anything? Metallic ones separate.

I bought these on clearance and some were extremely thick! Do I add water??

I would! Maybe try adding a small amount of water in a cup and then check your consistency. Then you won't use up all your paint in the bottle.

How long it take to dry??? I pour it last night and still the same! 🥺

Depends on what your room conditions are but this time of year if it's summer in your world, humidity can make it take a little longer for drying!
And remember it's not fully "cured" for a few weeks!

do you have a preference on brand?

They each have their merits, depending on what you are looking for. I think a good all-around is the Artist's Loft ready mixed, but at 15$ a bottle, waiting for coupons can take a while to get the full rainbow in your collection. It dries really shiny though - definite plus.
Arteza is amazing for keeping its lines. This is probably a close match in that regard, and cheaper per bottle for solo colors. But I would still splurge on that 28color set when I can.

@@ZinaDesigns isn’t the 24 color set only 2oz bottles? I’m new to pouring so I haven’t familiarized myself with how much paint is used per canvas size... how do you keep from blowing through all the bottles too fast? Or are you splurging so that you CAN go to town with them and you don’t care to make them last? What would you suggest for a beginner on a budget in that case?

    • @ZinaDesigns

@@amberleitao4727 The large set is 2ounces per bottle, and they (Arteza) now sells 4ounce bottles in smaller sets of just 4-5 colors each. Depending on what style of pour you want to do will depend on how far you can stretch your paint. Sometimes I have used a different brand like Artist Loft thinned down (with water or a medium) as a base and used Arteza on top.
A 12x12 canvas can be covered with roughly 6oz of paint... so that box could last a while unless you're painting really large pieces!

@@amberleitao4727 and for a beginner on a budget - remember you can mix your paints with water! Craft paint won't go very far with water (and won't need much to be thinned) but a decent tube acrylic can be thinned with just water to a nice consistency and keep its vibrancy.

@@ZinaDesigns thank you for your response I appreciate you taking the time to answer! That actually helps me visualize the amount of paint I need more clearly. I know about having to thin the different bodied paints, but putting into the perspective of a 12x12 canvas really helped. Thank you!! Can’t wait to get started ❤️

I just got this kit plus the forest green color and a silver. I can’t post a pic but it’s one of the best paint pours Ive ever seen! Oh and I topped it with a tiny bit of white. And did not use the violet blue. I filled up two of the cups the paints come with with different colors and it somehow got cells and looks like a pink ocean. Amazing!! Try it!!
