Our first ELR effort with new barrel in our SAKO TRG 338LM

This bullet has an identical BC to the 7mm Hornday 190gr ATIP. I shoot my 284win to similar velocity but it requires a 32" barrel. It is amazing to think that I can almost precisely duplicate the 338 lapua's performance with a little 284win.
Well same shot settings, yes by the math's, but performance??? Cheers

I’m curious if you have ever thought about doing something with the 338-378 Weatherby magnum.
We have done the 30-378, so.., but both the 30-378 and the 338-378 here banned here last year so no, not something we would consider, Cheers

I don't know why but I've never been impressed by the 338 Lapua I know it's designed to be a long range sniper round but I've seen you guys do as good or better with other cartridges. All the same great shooting

I can't wait to start this hobby, but I have to because I went back to school. I love watching these videos, gives me some motivation to finish. I'm considering getting a Browning X-bolt in 300 WM to get started. Some of them come factory with a 1:8 twist. What do you think about that?

Looks like the wind was fighting you pretty hard. I saw many wind speed changes at the target, so I'm guessing that played a large role considering the longer flight time. Hearing the wind noise on camera, it sounded like quite a bit of wind at your position.

Mark what’s your load data here? I shoot 338 LM, and the ELR matches around me make me stretch it out to 2,500 and 2,800 yards.
I’m sending a 300 grain nosler RDF atop 91 gr of Retumbo. Holding 152 MOA for 2,800. Only hit it once.

Have you see differences in the performance of your ammunition with normal vs magnum primer in large capacity case? With the magnum shortage you make me thinking🤔
