Many Italians are are artistically gifted and wonderfully detailed. Thanks again for your tour. My traveling days are behind me and this is the best way to round things out.
How beautiful Naples is too 😍😍! I traveled to Naples once and I miss Naples very very much and I hope I can relocate to Naples. Merry Christmas to Naples
I just watched the one you did last year - Naples at night. I love love love your videos. I've watched a few of them over many times so that when I visit that city/town I know where to go by following the landmarks, stores, scenery, etc., you show in your videos. I don't need a map when I have you! Anyway, Mele Kalikimaka to you and your family. Next year, I hope to visit again, I miss it so much. Thanks to you I can look back at the memories and look forward to new ones!!
It's good to watch this. I enjoy seeing how people in other countries are going about their daily lives. Thanks ProWalk Tours for this glimpse into life in Naples at this time of the year.
Your walking tour of Naples here was so helpful for us orientating us around. We also used a bit of Rick Steve's guided walk of Naples. We visited on Friday 3rd May 2024. It was pretty busy but not too much. We loved the Xmas Alley - quite bonkers. I think it's great though - taking kitsch to a very serious level of artistry. We were only in Naples for the afternoon and evening really. We spent a good amount of time in the archaeological museum. It would keep me busy for at least a week visiting the major sites. Thanks for bringing these places to us for a taster!
Hi Isaac! My In-laws are in town. Showing them Naples markets, thanks to you! We loved all the close-ups! You left us also wanting Italian pastry! Ciao!
Hey, that's great to hear. I'm back in WA right now a week visiting the fam and then I'll be back at it all summer filming walks. Hope all is going well.

I love those shops selling the nativity sets, especially the one with the glass dome. I appreciate you going into the stores and showing us the unique items that Naples has to sell. You can purchase nativity sets here in the United States, but most of them looks so generic. The ones in Italy are much nicer, detailed and more authentic.
thank you for sharing this video... I havent been to Naples but it's always been in my bucket list. I miss travellling so much.. because of this, you have transported us along the alleyways , meandering and even providing us with very essential historical infos. keep posting and sharing your insights. I hope I can visit your city soon.
Belíssima visualização deste centro histórico, sobretudo a grande exposição de presépios e o mercado. Parabéns aos autores deste vídeo e os meus agradecimentos.
Thank you for your most detailed video yet! My family enjoyed it very much. Hoping for a quick return to normalcy so these merchants may see more traffic/tourists. Saludos!
Great video Italy without a question is my favorite country in Europe I also like South East Asia for travel. I can get citizenship in Italy in a few yrs. I like the coast I learned about Pompeii in school
Any special meaning or purpose of this orange color ? Because I keep seeing orange paper bags, orange shops and many orange color but I don't know the reason..
Returned to your beautiful channel after some period to test my new earphones. Glad to find you got rid of those acid oversaturated colours in post processing. Now it's much more realistic.
Most of those buildings are not historical by Italian standards and the law can't force the Vatican to take care of its Churches. The State can only co-finance restoration projects or aid with tax shelters.

@@ProWalks Thank you for your reply. You had done the best and I love to watching your video. It's just make me feel I'm at there. Happy New Year 2021. Hopefully everyone can travel again. Have a safe holiday.
Naples is an interesting and diverse city, I didn't know they had a Metro:) Can you imagine a big city here in the States with some blocks dedicated to the Nativity or regular open air meat and produce markets? Why is there so much graffiti on all those buildings, it's a shame.? Early on while you walked through those narrow streets in the old town, it was really claustrophobic and then back ou into the open and sky. A lot like NYC:) What was that huge arched road you walked under the last minute of the video? I hope you and yours have a wonderful New Year, we need it! Cheers, Rik Spector
It's a neapolitan lucky charm formed by 2 parts, on top there is the hunchback ('"o scartellato" in neapolitan) , at the bottom there is the horn ( "'o curniciello" in neapolitan).
It's a normal thing all over Italy since there have been the attacks on the twin towers in the USA. Then with the terrorist attacks in Europe the surveillance of the cities has increased further, the Italians are used to the presence of soldiers and police in any high-risk place such as museums, stations, squares, churches, etc., and it is reassuring.
I just watched three Christmas walking tours---one thru Tokyo, one thru Bangkok, and one thru Naples. Pretty depressing to see the stark decline of Europe/Naples. It's all over Europe these days except for some of the east European nations like Poland and Slovakia.
People, graffiti everywhere means that the place is not gentrified yet, WHICH IS GOOD. You wanna stroll through a city like through a museum, but forget that the city is not there to be left untouched and preserved for the enjoyment of the tourists: people live there and use the spaces as they see fit. You wanna see what it's like to live in an empty museum? Go to Venice, go to Florence, go to Rome even and take a walk in the center in the evening: no people can afford to live there and, when tourists go away, there's no one there to inhabit the palaces etc. It's desolate AF. Naples (and many other cities in South Italy) is almost lucky in this respect, because people still live everywhere tourists wanna go and keep the city alive. FFS buildings are just objects, let people express themselves as they can. Try to understand the phenomenon instead of acting like the Supreme Keepers of Beauty™️
In short you can't see there is a difference between living in a gentrified museum and living in a graffiti covered dump. People can express on their own houses' walls, not on churches etc. What's to understand? That you are so used to a decaying city that you find it normal?

Beautiful 🤩
I find it depressing there is so much graffiti on the walls and businesses ,that distracts from the beauty of this old city
There's even graffiti on the churches. Shameful
Napolitans customise their environment - graffitti on walls churches signposts etc .
@@Fightdog More than 450 churches in central Napoli - maybe they should take a bulldozer to them.
It appears that graffiti is everywhere in Europe. So sad because of the beauty it defaces. France was the same.
Graffiti is shit
Merry Christmas!
How about making a tour around "my brilliant friend" (TV series) locations someday?
I had never heard of that until now. I'll watch the first episode tonight. I could do film a location video for sure. That would be fun.
this stores is simple unbelievable
Maravilloso!👍👏👏
Usually it's so crowded you can hardly get by but these days Naples as the rest of Italy are in red zone total lockdown. 22nd December was orange.

Now I see where the most of our southamericans styles come from ...funny walk, I love it
Like what ?
Hermoso video gracias
molte chiese o palazzi noti mancano i nomi. Comunque ottimo lavoro ...bella passeggiata!
Amei o passeio,muito obrigado♥♥♥
Have you considered doing some areas around Caserta, in Campania?
Do you have any suggestions? At the moment we cannot leave our own towns but as soon as we can travel again I'd like to start doing more filming.
Caserta is very nice
@@ProWalks I would love to see Calvi risorta and Pignataro Maggiore.
But also simply the Palace and its giant garden would be a welcome video 😄

Are there historical building preservation laws in Italy??

Because graffiti are not gang related and nobody g.a.f. about them.
I have been to many farmer markets in NYC, so I can easily imagine them.
The place is actually called Terron Alley
Well..it's actually called Via San Gregorio Armeno
This video is such a wonderful distraction from what's going on in the world right now.
The mask thing is to funny! Half the people either just cover their mouth or have the mask around their neck lol!
appreciate it!
Why do they allow graffiti?
Maybe because there's not enough surveillance I guess? (idk)
@@acidosgraxosplayer622 maybe but no surveillance cameras would be surprising...since they're everywhere now

So many nativity scenes .
Christmas? I don’t see nothing about it, is so sad
I wonder why there are so many armed soldiers about? Perche tanti soldati con armi?
