  • Alright, buckle up because our little MK1 Golf Gti went from zero to a full-on glow-up! We started from 'not going too far' and ended up doing a total strip-down and respray - I'm talking inside, outside, and even the underside got some serious TLC. Things got real fancy real quick for our pint-sized ride.
But hey, you know the drill - if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing right. And let me tell you, we're not messing around. We've enlisted the talents of our buddies over at Colour Kraft, Tim & Dave, to sprinkle some magic and make this little beast look like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
Now, it's not just about saving the car; it's about giving it a whole new lease on life. So while Tim & Dave work their wizardry, we're gearing up for some serious detailing action. Get ready, folks, because this MK1 Golf Gti is about to steal the spotlight and turn heads like never before. Stay tuned for the jaw-dropping transformation - it's gonna be epic!"

Powder coat the original arms and subframes! The old dog isn't wrong, everything is hard to get hold of on the mk1's and remade parts are never a good fit! Was that the original glass aswell? 🙈 loving this project giving me inspiration on my mk1 GTi 👍

That genuine windscreen rubber is so easy to get hold of.. the glass though... hope you've got one somewhere ready or that one was non-gen, comes out easy without damage if you know how!

Was a non genuine screen with a few marks in it. NOS screen is near on impossible to get, but I’d rather have a new aftermarket screen than an old knackered one.
