IMPORTANT UPDATE! It turns out you can use the Air3 with the SoundPEATS app so that means you can do everything the Air3 Deluxe and HS can. The Air3 custom EQ does bring the total volume down by about 2 clicks though. But if you want a smaller case and don't mind slightly less total battery the Air3 are 100% worth it!
The microphone test is key when reviewing headphones nowadays. It's essential because the brand alone cannot guarantee good conversation quality. I've had premium headphones in the past, yet people I spoke with frequently complained about the audio quality. On the other hand, I've also had budget headphones with excellent microphone noise-cancelling capabilities. That's why the microphone test is so crucial. Among your reviews, I prefer the ones where you compare all the headphones in a silent room and then you do the same in the noisy room or this one in the traffic. I find these types of reviews more helpful than the ones where you mix the headphones in order to keep the same product. Overall, your reviews are very good!
Great content as always Sir👏👏. Thank you for the detailed picky clarification! I think, If you own the original Air 3 or Air3 deluxe, the HS is no more than a side grade. But on its own, it's good value👍
Ldac codec is kinda useless for most people and that is pretty much the only thing that's different to even the air 3. I'm sticking to my air 3's for now until they release another model that is upgraded a bit more because at the end of the day, it's still the same driver, sound field (barely different) and microphone quality. Legend for making this video and thank you!
Awesome video mate, finally I found a video that I was looking for. I needed to get some earbuds for my girlfriend because we do talk in certain noisy areas sometimes and most of the time I couldn't hear much her talking because of the wind, background noises, etc. Other videos that I watched I couldn't have the same perception of the call made outside in a noisy place and you did which made me decide I am going to get her the Deluxe HS. Brilliant, thank you so much
I tested both in a SoundPEATS store, and what i can say : Air3 Deluxe HS have a metallic / artificial sound (saturated mid and high) where the normal deluxe are well balanced ... so i bought the normal of course. Don't be fooled by LDAC ... Long life to our beloved aptX !
Even just listening to this review on my laptop without good headphones, or my Bluetooth Bose speaker, I could hear the difference! Very helpful review!
Great video.. as a Soundpeats long time ear buds owner.. I can safely say their hardware is top notch! But their app support still suffers after years of promises . Still no where near where Soundcore is! They have so much potential.. But they keep messing the app support for most of their to ear buds and watches.. which is really sad..
I have the regular Air 3s I pair with my s22 and Ive been able to use the app since I first got them about a year ago now. Can't recommend these enough ☺️
S10e? You know what's up as well. Wish I could upgrade to something better but "small flagship phones with a microSD and headphone jack" is now a rarity if anything.
No point getting the HS for iPhone? But it's different from the normal one, worse mic for example. I don't even wanna use LDAC cause it drains more battery and I sure can't tell the difference.

Damn, I kinda feel a bit bad now that I bought the HS. I can't really take advantage of LDAC because I can't tell the difference compared to good ol' AAC when listening to media aside from the huge battery drain. AptX would've been fine for me but it's not supported by the HS for some reason. Should've went with the regular Deluxe if it was still available...
@@pickyaudio I guess there's also that! Just reading the spec sheet though, I find the Deluxe more impressive with all the Qualcomm stuff listed compared to the HS, not including the LDAC support. So I thought it would have the better mic quality. Not saying the HS is outright bad; in fact I'm pleasantly suprised by the sound quality it put out considering it's an open-ear design. Just wondering how it could've been better with aptX...
Good to know, I literally just bought an air 3 deluxe not too long ago and they already 1upped me with the HS. But I’m mainly using it for my iPad for gaming so it’ll basically be the same product in terms of sound quality.
Thank you for this. I love my air 3 unfortunately i lost one of the earbud so i had to get a new one, but it seems this model is now phased out, and i was almost going to cancel my order for my air 3 deluxe. But this video has been the most helpful. Thank you!
Great review I was looking at this as the buds are reduced and the naming isn't helpful! LDAC can drop through 3 levels, the worst is below aptx HD. Having said that I have LDAC and non LDAC supporting phones and earphones. Battery life does drop by about 20% with LDAC as you say and there can be an audio improvement, perhaps 10% (subjective of course). However, the hardware, fit of the eartips etc can make more difference. I've been surprised at how much my iPhone 11 pro max can compare with my LG v60. Though the latter beats all phones down on wired (though have to use something like USB audio Pro to bypass android downsampling. With my iPhone on wired, there's the benefit of true but audio).
Personally as an Android and Windows user, I prioritize earbuds that have APTX over those that have LDAC The difference in sound quality between LDAC and APTX is really almost non-existent, on the other hand, the difference in connection stability and latency is obvious to the advantage of APTX. APTX on Android and Windows is currently the only codec that provides the same quality as Apple's AAC, because actually Apple's AAC is much better and stable than that of Android and Windows
Good Content! I hope you can help me, I want to buy a new ear buds. Which one would you recommend between Soundpeats Air 3 Pro and Edifier neo Buds? Thanks!
Are the Soundpeats Air 3 Deluxe and Soundpeats AIr 3 Deluxe HS charging case the same size case? I have a silicone case for the Deluxe non HS and wanted to know if get the HS will it fit.
The air 3 do go louder by a bit. But the air 3 pro sound better and also sound better at louder volumes. In ear vs half in ear, in ear is better most of the time
Thanks for replying mate i was confused which ones should i buy watched a couple of reviews people saying air 3 pro has less loudness couldn't decide which ones to buy air 3 or air 3 pro ? Thanks for replying
Can you check for me if the air 4 earpods fits on an air 3 house case. I lost the house case of my air 3 earpods. I am looking to upgrade in a model where my old air 3 earpods would charge.
No, when streaming Hi-Res, you don't want to directly plug headphones into your phone. You want your phone/tablet/laptop plugged into a quality DAC via USB, then the DAC into a headphone amp (or a combo unit with DAC inside). You'll get far better sound quality compared to internal Dac and Amp
There are different frequencies in my app EQ and I see on reddit that other have the same. Is it after some update? Could you recommend some new EQ config? Is the Soundpeats preset ok after firmware update?
This was a great video! Also, AptX Lossless with Snapdragon Sound is coming to phones and Bluetooth audio devices next year with Bluetooth 5.3. It says it may even rival LDAC with its codec and maybe LHDC. The latest NuraTrue earbuds have the codec, and only a few flagship phones do. Do you think they will change the Bluetooth codec scene?
iPhone transfers 256 kb/s with AAC but Apple Music can transfer up to 1411 kb/s with Lossless files…does it make sense? I have to buy an android phone and install Apple Music in it so I can use LDAC right?
Yea that’s right. It’s all a bit of a mess in my opinion. If you use Apple Music lossless on an IOS device you have to use a wired pair to actually get any advantage.
Just bought these a week ago....they sound great...however 12-13 minutes into jogging the audio begins to crackle then choppy audio which gets worse...when I disconnected and reconnected with bluetooth it continued to be choppy...and worse an audio voice saying connecting and disconnecting...which the earbuds did do over and over...I tried these on my S22 & old S9...and it happened on both...very frustrating
I have the AIR3 and the other day I bought the AIR3 DELUXE HS and I must say that although it is noted that they have a great fidelity, I see that they have less punch than the AIR3 both in volume and bass, it is a thing not to understand ....
i recently bought the soundpeats air 3 pro and im disappointed with the sound quality and overall loudness. the sound is really tiny. Can somebody give me some eq presets to improve the sound or any solution????
Great point about the battery life. I have a Sony phone so I've always been itching to get my hands of a pair of LDAC headphones. Now that I've placed the order, I'm thinking that I might not actually use the LDAC most of the time because how much it might drain the battery. I'll need to try it out, but practically speaking, 4 hours is approaching the "unacceptable" region.
Nice review!, but i have a question. I had the air 3 pro but they broke, I should buy the air 3 pro again or wait for the capsule 3 HS to come out (I think they look better build quality than the air 3 pro), but maybe my phone is not compatible with LDAC, keep like that =).

Sadly incorrect. Drivers have been 'good' for quite a while, the codec is the thing that actually beams it to your buds, no getting around that

I mean Aptx vs AAC isn’t a huge difference. Slightly lower latency when gaming on android is about it

Just FYI, it is kilo bits per second (kbps), not bytes.
