The 70th anniversary of the Flying Tigers? That would make it 1945? As a matter of interest, according to Martin Caidin,..."the Flying Tigers fought their first battle-a smashing victory-against a Japanese force attacking Kunming, China on December 20, 1941" Other than that, a wonderful close up inspection of this new plane, and what an improvement, can't wait to see it sitting in my Hangar!

This will be my first foam plane. I fly multirotors and have a Futaba SG14 mode two radio. What Futaba receiver do you recommend for the FMS P-40B?
+Keith T 6 channel is all you need... 7 if you want to make your tail wheel have independent trim
In the last 2 months I have bought Eflites P51..P47..and Spitfire 1.2...but this P40 is sharp!

Do all of the 1400 require a 4s lipo?

But the p40 needs at least a 4s?

Rich, please give us details on the exact battery size and weight you use in the review, my v1 Warhawk was very finicky as with my fms 1400mm zero, that I use hard to find spec lipos.... Thanks
Does the plane come with the control horns already installed and set up. And does the airplane bind to the transmitter easily?
yes... control horns are installed and ready to go.... it binds easily

The demonstrator is good, but i miss that he would say "just like it is on full scale airplane"in stead of the real airplane. This is að real airplane it flies, but smaller in scale.
Hope that FMS make OSCAR Hayabusa just to complete this P40 as enemy.

I do not have the plane in front of me now but they are plenty large for grass....
and its a little bigger than Eflites birds..I'm surprised that Eflite doesnt have one

wow nylon hinges like freewing holy crap finally someone else is doing that .......looks like I will be buying one of these... do you know how long before they are released?
+1976axerhand There are pluses and minuses to both... with the foam hinge it is not as scale, but you can see its condition and inspect it easily for integrity...and if it is laminated the way FMS does it, it is super strong! With the nylon hinge, you cant see it in some cases, and cannot inspect its condition... However it is very scale, very streamlined, & exactly the same way it is done in a full scale airplane:) Additionally, it is way easier to repair damage to a beveled edge foam hinge than a Submerged hinge....
+RCINFORMER you got a point there. but I don't think I have to worry about the nylon breakin, i'm not guys who will throw a 6s battery in there and fly it 3d lol...
