An old trick I learnt and practice, but don't know if it really makes any difference, is to get the bike off the stand and pump the front end a few times before tightening the pinch bolts. Supposedly making the axel e t c 'sit' a tiny bit better. Same thing with the brakes - squeeze the lever at the same time as you do the first bit of tightening up of the bolts to the bracket. Here I know for a fact it makes a helluva difference on bicycles with disc brakes, but for the motorcycle - dunno.
Hi, Mike! I am from São Paulo-Brasil and I also own a Le Mans 1000 1991 MY. I recently changed all its fluids, but I don't know how to proceed with the front suspension. The literature I have is not clear for me on what nut I should start slackening first... Would you be so kind and give me a hint? Thank you!
Hi Daniel, I haven't disassembled the front forks on my Le Mans so I can't really advise you on this. It would be worth joining and posting your question on the Wild Guzzi forum. It's a good source of Guzzi information if a bit USA centric. www.wildguzzi.com/forum/

I have a Moto guzzi 850 I need to remove front wheel to have a new tyre so this video was very helpful.
Nice and easy. One thing that I try to do is run a piece of sandpaper across the brake pads to take any glaze off them. Then, blow the dust out.

Hi, Mike
Thank you for the prompt reply. I Will follow your advice.
Til the next vídeo!
Cheers!
Have you tried Continental radial (road attack front, classic attack rear) tyres yet?
Not yet, they are hard to get in Australia I was told.
That's a shame. I would be very interested in hearing your thoughts if you do manage to get hold of a set. 👍
