We are a recent retired Canadian couple, we were wondering how much rental prices fluctuate between now and January? I've heard the one year requirement in another video with an agent. This didn't make sense to me. Since a retirement visa is not guaranteed, it doesn't make sense to have a year long commitment. Three months makes more sense.

Is it correct that if you get the retirement visa you must have a Thai medical insurance?. The amounts I have seen quotes are high if you are 65 and over. It goes in 5 year blocks so if you are 70 it goes up a lot from the 65-70 band, Also one of the people commenting said you had to have 800,000 Thai baht in a bank account and that it could be in a bank in your home country?. Is this correct?.

@@jorgenmansson4269 , Thanks. As I only intend to be in Jomtien for 5-6 months would a multi entry 60 day visa be a better option. Extend after the first 60 days for 30 days then leave the country for a couple of days and return for 60 days. Total 5 months.

Your right Tim. You do not need family in Thailand to get a NON O retirement visa. Don did a good job in her interview and she is very friendly in person too. Albeit a little nervous. She did very well.
Congratulations on getting your retirement visa brother on Friday 👍👍

At least disclose your "special Pricing" so folks have an idea what it is going to cost them?

    Hi,
As you probably know, they give visa for 15 months at the first application to new beginner foreigners and then again down to 1 year..
My question is: Do they stamp visa for 15 months or 1 year to a foreigner who has received a retired visa many times before?! İf he applies ones again after long time break ? And how much is the comnen prices at the broker visa agents for 15 months and 1 years?

@@CoopersThaiAdventure I,ve been in contact with that agency several times over whats needed for the retirement visa. They are saying just your passport and rent contract is needed. They can even facilitate for a small charge. A long term address if you dont have a rent agreement. After your video. I was concerned as I dont have a driving license or other photo ID. Contacted them by E-mail and they responded very quickly saying once again. Only Passport needed to open up a Thai bank account and complete the retirement visa. Im not trying to argue with you. Just letting you and other know not to panic if you dont have other photo ID such as a driving license

Some time in the future, according to the Deputy Police chief is considering tightening up the rules regarding agents using loopholes to obtain visas including bank accounts and how the rules will mean

Stricter rules to prove you have money in an account

That can only be decided by the new government Nick. Right now it is only a rumor. So take it as such.
