Excellent advise by Fahad and he seems to have a very kind and pure heart. I moved to US over 30 years ago and don't regret it. My two cents for new commers. Most of the skills or degrees from Pakistan does not mean anything here. You have to get either certification or degree from local institutions to be competitive for jobs. Life on minimum wage will be very very hard on you. Anyone coming to US should not bring their children for atleast a year unless they are coming to live with their brother or sister or inlaws (LOL).
Monthly expenses varies from place to place. In California, $4000 will be minimum to survive in cheaper cities. However, in midwest, you can survive with $2000 per month. Please note that I said "survive". There will be different oportunities in different places.

Of course it’s about people not country. Without people a country is just a piece of land. What makes up the image of a country is how well the people living in that country live up to their personal and national responsibilities. Pakistan is a beautiful piece of land, but it’s full of highly uneducated and selfish population for the most part. Before you start screaming at me that Pakistanis are the best. They love their country blah blah. Let me just remind you. The recent Pew research center survey concluded that 94% of Pakistani can’t wait to get out of Pakistan. Tell me how much they love their country and how much they want to stay there?
But again, I don’t really blame the general population. It’s the elite, the army generals and dirty politicians that have made Pakistan unlivable 😢

Raftar content creators and producers are superb and one step ahead of competition. They are amazing to think differently and invite overseas Pakistani's in podcast. Anxioulsly awaiting what the creativity of Raftar TV produces next. Staying tuned. Really loved the measured and calm way in which Fahad bhai answered questions with no airs of being privileged or a notch above normal Pakistanis. Liked his honest comments about loving and eating street food each year when he returns home. He also handled the question about Indians occupying high positions very well stating a fact that it's actually due to their sheer numbers and not really exceptional talent. Pakistanis are in great coveted positions and very talented too. Faisal is always a great interviewer and such a sheer delight to watch and listen to. Words flow smoothly out of him. Great work Raftar TV & love from Singapore.

Heart touching video. Yes, there are lots and lots of Pakistanis living in the US who still care for Pakistan. But at the same time feel bad for what's going on in the country! Law and order is top notch in the US, and I have not faced any racism in the last 15 years! Waisay racism Pakistan mein kam hay kya? 😝😝
BTW, there are very strict rules for racism and/or bribery in the US, and they don't care who does it! Pakistan ko unfortunately is level par aane mein 100 saal lagein gay. Yes, there is corruption and everything here in the US, too. But as a layman, it doesn't bother you, and you can get justice regardless of your social status.
The generation growing up outside Pakistan, in my view, does not have any connection or very weak connection to the country! Might be different on a case to case basis, but I am talking in general!

I agree with most of what he said about culture shock most likely especially if you're in your twenties. And yes its way better than 911 afterwards but if you dont behave like them no matter where ever you live even in queens full of pakistanis, whenever you run into some local youre gonna feel belittled cuz no matter how nice they act they treat you different. But fortunately and thank God we are normalize in the society, there are some slur amd jokes which hurt egos and self esteem of your kids mostly but safety is not an isssue like after 911. And dont even lemme started with so called uncles even if they are relatives who especially if they own any retail or any service business cuz he prolly gonna suck the life out of u most likely he gonna pay u less even if he write off ur salary which u would be taxed and thats not even the worst part cuz in some situations you would get paid fully i mean min legal wages but if he knows your financial situation back home.. ohhhh boy...he gonna make you feel like that you owe him for the rest of your life... please tell me if desii uncle aint like that. He said something about public schools, no doubt public schools i
Free but one way or an other you do pay for it i.e in the form of taxes like sales tax or any tax collected directly by city if you live in a poor zip code you can only go to the school in your neighborhood and cannot go to any other school outside of your area even if its as close as a mile away from you. And the neighborhood you can afford in 4k budget assuming you live in east or westcoast will not be great and hence kids growing up there and fellow classmates of your kids will influence them and what have you, in short very bad company. There is a alot to consider but the main prob is you're not gonna know them until and unless you ran into them if you're lucky to have somebody
there they might guide you some of the process but they will not want you to have what they got. But life still could be much better as compared to Pakistan depending on your circumstances
