Nice to see Harold Jones still going strong. Many(many) years ago when I was taking lessons my drum teacher recommended the Count Basie album 'Basie Straight Ahead' as a definitive example of how to play big band drums,Harold Jones being the drummer.Forty odd years later that still holds good, and the big band I play in are still playing a couple of charts from it Thanks Harold you're still the man!
PLAY THEM !! 💥

Damn that hi hat pull rod could be used as a cell tower antenna. Make a great lightening rod too.
Love this guy.. No nonsense, straight up truth and experience by one of the best..
Rhythmista no nonsense? He starts to play them 2 minuets into the video.
Great hats and a cool Cat
What a informative video thanks
+Fabian Fierros I totally agree. This was an enjoyable video. I also got a kick out of how little he played the hi hats he was supposed to be demoing
You're right, a really cool video. Recorded with Sinatra, Peterson, Ellington, Hancock, the list goes on!
this man gave more lessons in a video about zildjian new beat hihats than any teacher
Great hats, great drummer, great insight.
