  • Want to play GaGa ball but can't afford the fancy GaGa Ball pits you've seen online? Me too... so I made my own. This simple, cheap DIY method could get you playing GaGa Ball in a sustainable way for less that £100 (which may be around $100).

We don't speak Australian, but this looks very doable. Thanks for sharing!

@@bonsihansi2580 they are 8'x4' boards (the standard size here in the UK) which I asked the cut down to 2'x8' - most lumber yards will do 1 cut at no extra charge for you).

That looked great! I loved the paint work. Never really considered painting this way. I assume it was just cans of car paint spray? Just a bit of advice from someone who has done ALOT of cutting with a jigsaw, if you hold the jigsaw underneath the board with the blade facing upwards towards you, you will find (with a little practice) it easier to follow the line, as you don't have the body of the jigsaw in the way, any splits caused by the blade cut will be underneath and most dust will be ejected downwards. Using that process, you would have been able to cut your slots quicker and easier than with the wood saw as well.

Thanks for the jigsaw tip... I'll have to give that a go next time! The paint was just acrylic spray paint. It's a really forgiving medium, and very hard wearing too.

Hi. Great job. Looking at possibly building one myself. We've been using fold up tables to play. I'm just wondering how well that cut outs last? Did any of it break off? Any tips you could give now trust it's a couple of months on?

Its the second one I've built in that style. I think as long as you're carefull putting it up its fine. Ours lasted 2 years. We had 3 slats break in that time... which isn't bad considering.

@@Hellyers Thanks. Sounds good! I saw a few other good ideas as well. The slots are definitely appealing as it is so simple. I'm considering hollow core doors from the dump shop, but you can't cut an "exit" into them. Now I have one more idea! Thanks mate!
