I got sick last year and was taken to the hospital 3 times over the course of 2 months. I wasn't usually one to get sick so I started to get really anxious about what was wrong with me. Doctors couldn't figure it out and soon I developed REALLY bad anxiety. There were nights I'd only sleep for 2 hours. The only way I could be relaxed was by listening to this song. This was the only way I was about to start sleeping and getting over my anxiety. This band had always been there for me, but never so much as when I got sick. I've gotten through it, thanks to them! The best band a girl could ask for!

My mom passed away unexpectedly in February 2017, I picked this song to be played at her funeral. She loved The Fray as much as I did. A beautiful song for a beautiful soul. Love you mom
LOVE this song! Speaks to me so much. Better than most worship songs out there now! Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
"Be still and know that I am God." This song lifts my spirits in my darkest spiritual battles, but also brings nostalgia and heartbreak. I suppose I need heartbreak.
I did come because of Criminal Minds originally, and love the song. But then my dad passed last February so I made a Spotify list of songs representing his life and his passing. This is the first song on there because it reassures me that no matter how scary that passage can be, both God and I were with him. Hospice allowed us to watch the process of dying. It is not an event, it is a process. And I am so thankful for this song to help me through as I let him go on to the other side where he was greeted by God. Thank you.
The Fray has always been my favorite band. I lost my mom March 26. 2020 and have had major marriage problems for about a year. This song gets to me in a reassuring way.... Thank you.
i dedicate this song to my late brother. He was taken from me when i was only 10. He was one of the few that tried to get me adopted. One of the fondest memories of my childhood was getting to see him a few times a year. he was taken at such a young age. I love you brother, you will always be in my heart. If i was only there 5 minutes earlier i would have been able to see u one last time. R.I.P. Daniel Fuggat
an old friend of mine passed away this morning and this song is reminding me of him R.I.P Anthony you were so young and there was much left to do. Love you.
Beautiful song ! I too looked up this song after watching Criminal Minds. The episodes are so dark and sad but they choose the BEST music. " When I'm Gone " is another great song played at JJ and Wills wedding and Emily leaves the show.
I have experienced a lot of “loss” and learned the grieving process on my own throughout each “loss” I put loss in quotes as throughout my life journey I have had experiences too many to name to prove to me that death is not what it seems to so many the loss of the human body is different than loss of the soul and spirit they never ever leave us I am hearing this song for the first time now as one of my Aunties husband just took his next journey late last year and in a group one of my Uncles made to support my Auntie through her grief as well as share stories about my late Uncle another Auntie posted this song. It is absolutely beautiful I pray whoever reads this finds the peace and comfort you’re seeking bless you all
No matter what are we faced in life, God's promises that he will be with us. I'm glad they used this song in NCIS. It was a heartfelt song and filled out hearts knowing our love one's will be with us in our hearts and mind, either living or not.
I posted the lyrics on FB the other day and someone commented that it was a beautiful combination of Psalm 23 and 46. The song applied to everybody--it is universal. Everyone has pain and loss. Everyone is in need of a loving, guiding hand in this life.
John 3:16,17: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 2Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
For my husband was a true and wonderful person. I cry because I will always cherish his laughter his thoughts he was and will always be my best friend. For a blessing He is and we will carry His legacy on. This world has lost sight that God is the Great I Am and ppl don't have hope anymore because where there is Hope there Is Love. GOD IS ❤️. Be blessed to all who read and share this. You will save a life! I thank God for him!!
Isnt it amazing how our lord gets his word across to us in some form or other. Isnt this what we crave to hear especially when a loved ones soul will be leaving you soon and there isn't anything you can do to save them.
i want to dedicate this song to an amazing girl named Amelia. She was one of the most beautiful people ive ever met. i miss her terribly. this song makes me think of her. every lyric reminds me of her. i never got to say goodbye to her and it hurts. but this song makes things a little better because at least i can have our memories. RIP, my lAve, tyler loves you, and i'll see you soon. i lAve you more than words can describe
The Fray's vocalist Isaac Slade penned this christian lullaby for his little brother Micah after he'd called him at four in the morning complaining that that he was having a hard time sleeping. The next morning Slade got out of bed, grabbed a guitar and started playing a comforting song for his brother. The song was written from God's point of view, with the Lord comforting Micah and telling him "If no one is standing beside you/Be still and know I am."
I have always loved this song since it first played on Tvd years ago, so glad they reused the song in Legacies recently, it was a beautiful callback to events in the previous series, even involving the same character.. Watching Legacies, it was the first time I had heard this song since my mother passed away in April, n it just broke me.. You are never ready to lose a parent, even at 34 years old. Take every opertunity to remind your family that you love them, because you just never know. Though I believe my mother lives on in one form or another, I still miss her every single day. Til we meet again Mama..
I just lost a man who was like a father to me. Our pastor came in and read psalm 46 and I immediately started to cry because this song is my comfort song and it's from psalm 46:10 "be still and know I am God" Rip Norm. I'm going to miss you so much
This song just makes me feel safe...it makes me no longer fear death, but accept it, accept that no matter how long or how short my life was, at least i lived it... Every life will eventually end, and when it does, what you did wont matter anymore... People will forget you and your story, either great or not, will also be forgotten along wih the time that passes by...
I loved this song before but now knowing it's God's perspective and in reference to the bible I love this song even more. Very simple, very beautiful :)
I know this is meant to be sung from God's perspective, and as a new dad, I now have a knew understanding of we are all God's children. There is no love like the love of a father. And I want him to be still, and know.
Sage Sykes I'm weird I guess. Most people say they've seen too much so they stopped caring. I've seen to much not to I guess. I'm nothing special though, believe me. My nephews are dealing with the loss of their friend to suicide around the middle of January. One of those cases where no one saw it coming, especially his mom, who understandably was doing her best to keep things together as she was battling bipolar/manic depression (she had a beautiful blog that covered her battles). As she said, and this broke all our hearts, that she was so caught up trying to fix herself so she could be a better mom, she failed to notice the warning signs from her son. He was 13 I believe. Life throws us these tragedies, and when they happen they seem so pointless. Its often later in life that we look back and go "Wow...if that had not happened, maybe I wouldn't have been as aware to those close to me now." Its a good perspective to keep. It can also allow you to be there for others in a way you might not have been able to before. There is no such thing as a suicide that isn't a tragedy in my opinion. I just try to make the best of a bad situation I guess. If you ever feel the need to talk, feel free to hit me up. One song you can look up that comes to mind is Simple Plan's "Gone too Soon". I wonder if how you are feeling may be pretty well reflected in that song. Hang in there Sage. Please take care of yourself.
Shane Wilson I'm so sorry about your nephews loss.I know exactly what you mean. The day I lost my grandmother the only other best friend I've had since birth besides my grandfather every second became more precious than the last.I realized nothing is trivial.I had gone two weeks without talking to her because I cursed in her home at a guy that made a prank call talking about her and saying she was dead.I wanted to say sorry everyday I just wanted to do more than that as well. She was always the one to mend things between us,but that time she waited for me and I was to late. The day I decided to I had just brought a grade up to a b and felt like at least I wouldn't be just saying sorry.I could show her something else.I was right around the corner when my mom pulled up and said she was dead. She had me every weekend since I was born. Now my 2nd cousin is going through a surgery in about a week he could die from.Lost my grandfather basically my father last May.Crazy my grandmother died May 13 2005.Thank you Shane.I will keep you in my prayers and take care of yourself too.I will make sure to listen to that song.I don't know if you ever heard of Bon Iver or their lead singer/song writer Justin Vernon but they also have music that reflects the pain many of us feel.Be safe and I look forward to speaking again.Thank you so much.
I guess I'm late but this song is so beautiful!! It got me in tears right now while watching legacies season 4 episode 1.. and I'm downloading it now 🥺💞

Reminds me of the biblical Scripture that says "Be still and know that I am God."

The Fray
Be still and know that I'm with you
Be still and know that I am here
Be still and know that I'm with you
Be still, be still, and know
When darkness comes upon you
And colors you with fear and shame
Be still and know that I'm with you
And I will say your name
If terror falls upon your bed
And sleep no longer comes
Remember all the words I said
Be still, be still, and know
And when you go through the valley
And the shadow comes down from the hill
If morning never comes to be
Be still, be still, be still
If you forget the way to go
And lose where you came from
If no one is standing beside you
Be still and know I am
Be still and know that I'm with you
Be still and know I am

LOVE this song! Speaks to me so much. Better than most worship songs out there now! Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
❤
"Be still and know that I am God." This song lifts my spirits in my darkest spiritual battles, but also brings nostalgia and heartbreak. I suppose I need heartbreak.
This is the most beautiful song I think I've ever heard. It's so sad but also comforting in a way. Still makes me sob every time I hear it.
Thank you.
First in TVD, now in Legacies, literally crying my eyes out..
The Fray has always been my favorite band. I lost my mom March 26. 2020 and have had major marriage problems for about a year. This song gets to me in a reassuring way.... Thank you.
wish you the best even two years later
Is anyone here from season 15 finale of NCIS bc I’m genuinely shook😭
LivvyLoveyLaughy - Yes
i dedicate this song to my late brother.
❤️
Your brother sounds like he was very special. I hope that you did get adopted. I was very fortunate and was adopted myself. God Bless You!
DAMN YOU CRIMINAL MINDS. Always a beautiful one to remember. "The Company"
This song makes me remember Abby Sciutto leaving NCIS.
an old friend of mine passed away this morning and this song is reminding me of him
R.I.P Anthony you were so young and there was much left to do.
It is absolutely beautiful I pray whoever reads this finds the peace and comfort you’re seeking bless you all
A bible verse: Be still and know that I am God 🙏
Bells May do you know which verse, I would like to know, please?
Psalm 46:10
"I will be glorified throughout the earth"
I am is other name from Jehova the prexistence name of Jesus Christ
My favorite verse ever
The song was written from God's point of view, with the Lord comforting Micah and telling him "If no one is standing beside you/Be still and know I am."
aah... The Vampire Diaries, ep 20, season 3. Ric meets his firends in the woods
This song is perfect for the ncis finally just perfect ... so sad abby left and i might not survive but i will eventually be ok 😭
We serve a LIVING SAVIOR!!! I absolutely love this song:)
I just lost a man who was like a father to me. Our pastor came in and read psalm 46 and I immediately started to cry because this song is my comfort song and it's from psalm 46:10 "be still and know I am God"
Rip Norm.
Very simple, very beautiful :)
this is my crying song
Lexy Stone exactly
NCIS - How can it ever be the same without Abby?? Beautiful song! Thank you Lord for who you are!
Vampire diaries brought me here and I think Alarics death is one of the saddests deaths in tv Xx
The guy who sings this is Candice's husband. (Caroline)
Ncis, I’ll miss you Abby😢😢😢😢😢
I feel my dad is singing this song to me from heaven, every time I listen to the song
You never know how much time you have with the person you love until it’s too late and they are gone
I know this is meant to be sung from God's perspective, and as a new dad, I now have a knew understanding of we are all God's children. There is no love like the love of a father. And I want him to be still, and know.
NCIS anyone? We'll miss you Reeves ♡
Yes!
R.i.p. My cousin Terrence that killed himself a week ago
I am truly, deeply sorry for your loss. You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Shane Wilson I didn't think anyone up here would care...most don't.Thank You So Much. You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers too.
Please take care of yourself.
this is extremely late, but i'm sorry for your loss. praying for you :)
Haven't heard this song in a long time and came across it again just now. Such a comforting song.
I guess I'm late but this song is so beautiful!! It got me in tears right now while watching legacies season 4 episode 1.. and I'm downloading it now 🥺💞
I love how this could be a point from a lover and it is the point of God. Beautifully done!
