Yeah! Being 87 today worries me. I don’t want hail but Oklahoma is notorious for crazy storms.
It was 82 yesterday in Minnesota. It’s not gonna be good. We normally still have snow on the ground and are hitting high temps in the low 50’s. This winter has been strange for sure.

SWPA here, at this rate can we just get casual thunderstorms instead of everything being potentially severe? I never remember getting put in the enhanced risk this much in this short amount of time 😅

You legit need to land you a full time big TV job. Your communication skills are great, which is something that isn't entirely common in the weather enterprise. Thinking James Spann, Dave Freeman, Mike Morgan-like. There's an art to being able to communicate a message to the masses.

I seen this so many times, Massave thunder storms, tornados, hail, and never even hear one clap of thunder. I'm in south east kansas and we need rain..
Lawrence KS resident here, the high today is 90 degrees which is crazy. I worry about that tornado threat on Tuesday as it goes right over eastern kansas @10:17
It happens. I remember 90’s in Duluth MN, in late April, 1986. A normal Spring has highs and lows, vs the cloud seed house arrest ‘events’ as they are called today.

My police scanner has a lot of alerts on it for other kind of nefarious actions every day!
Good thing for people in Indiana is it shouldn't be as much of a tornado threat, instead a damaging wind threat should be the primary threat, though some embedded tors in the line of storms may be possible. Things may change tho so keep that in mind :)
The more east these storms go they should weaken especially Indiana area

We weren't supposed to have thunderstorms @ all this morning, just afternoon, we got hail & thunderstorms this morning. I'm glad for these videos!

We had shelf clouds here with damages & tornadic activity here in Northwestern Pennsylvania!! Max is doing AWESOME with keeping us informed with these storms!!

In northern WV, our most dangerous storms come down out of Pennsylvania and Ohio.

I think there's a chance Monday could be surprising, but ofc only if the cap breaks, Tuesday looks like it could get crazy in northern MO, Southern and Eastern Iowa and Western IL, especially if crapvection doesn't inhibit the instability that will be in the area, which given the strong capping Monday, that's definitely a possibility. Stay weather aware everyone!

What do you mean when you say "a cap in place" ?
A cap is a temperature inversion in the atmosphere in which a layer of warmer air is above a layer of colder air. In order for a thunderstorm to develop, unstable warm air from the surface needs to rise, and this will happen provided it weighs less and stays warmer than the air around it. However, when this unstable warm air reaches a strong cap, it becomes cooler than the surrounding air so it won’t be able to keep rising, and thus no thunderstorms. However, if enough energy is able to build up throughout the day, it is possible for a cap to break.
We are still recovering from flooding in the upper Ohio valley the Ohio river is still high

Oh I do hope so and I do hope it brings us some much much needed rainfall. Places that should be sopping wet this time of year are nearly bone dry. We have not had a good thunder storm here in what seems like ages. I have not seen a good afternoon thunder shower in longer than I can remember.

This is not good, and major severe weather is likely for parts of the northeast, southern plains, central plains and the Midwest, and multiple strong tornadoes are possible
