I was amazed at how much ST7's interface improved on ST6. I'm very happy to see a likely repeat of things getting even better.
...and was that a button I saw to hide sketches? Is that also new or did I never know where it was in ST7

Difficult not to be very impressed.
But, hows it possible to 'focus on the design' without constantly / frequently referencing AND changing mating part and multiple mating part geometry at any stage of the design development on the fly. I've been used to sophisticated high-end 'explicit' modelling for a very long time - but you sure are tempting me to give SE ST8 a try.

So, coming back to my comment below, PLEASE can someone tell me if i can alter two or more parts simultaneously (on the fly as above) with one command. In my old CoCreate ( now Creo Elements/direct ) i usually work in assemblies and i can pick by selection any Features/Faces etc from any part or parts and just do one manipulation operation etc. As i also said below, ST8 - Difficult not to be impressed. These live 'design intent' rules appear very well implemented.
