One thing that makes me flip out is whenever someone just snatches your sketchbook whenever you're drawing. They just go, "hEy, watcha dRawinG?" Then they walk away with the entire thing.

I just sit there and sharpen my pencil then mess up the lines so much that when I'm finally okay with it there is so many old lines and smudges you can barely see xD

It's ok everyone has a different liking in art. And you will get better I showed a piece of art I drew like 8 year ago and a more recent art to my mum and my mum liked the older one. But I showed the same art to my cousin and she liked the newer one it's just comes down to who you ask

Im 8 years old and I love this channel so much you are such and amazing drawer your “reacting to my 14 year old sketch book” video really inspired me i bought my own sketch book and now i draw 1 to 4 drawings everyday in it and each day I’m getting better and better!the way you draw lines on the face and circled on the arms and all that to know where everything goes really helped out. I tried out your techniques and they work awesome!

This is so inspirational to see accomplished, talented artists come from early stages that I can actually relate to and picture myself continuing to practice and one day being so much more comfortable drawing what I like how I like the way you can do now.
im in elementary school bit im about to go to middle school but my art through 3-5 (which is when i started to get serious about art) i think i progressed very well, yet my 3 gtade art was horrifying... but im glad with my art as a 5th grader.
Keep going! I'm probably around a year to two years older than you, and it gets even better! :)
Keep drawing, and as long as you see your older art as terrible while you progress, that means you’re improving.

@sweetie pie I used to feel like that too, you just have to be consistent in practicing drawing what you aren’t familiar with, it’s the a good way to improve.
Seeing the "terrible" means your eye for anatomy or shapes is improving. What's important is you should focus on one element to improve at a time so you don't get overwhelmed or quit.

Something I did the other day. I was drawing a character of mine, Betara- the leader of the water witches. I kind of drew her underwater in a cute pose. I liked her face so far, and I was afraid to mess up the other eye- so I drew a cute lil angel fish over where her right eye would be xD
Still came out well though, which I am shocked about.

most of the drawings in the second sketchbook are referenced from 'the monster book of manga'. i had the same book when i was a kid n remember them all haha
It makes me happy that you don't put your work down you look at your improvements in your drawings and say good things about it
I like how she isn’t picking apart what she used to love or how she used to draw. She may not necessarily love her old artwork, but she embraces it and admires it at least. Not trying to make any assumptions! And if I am then at least they’re positive lol

I remember my one of my old art teachers called my work sloppy and rushed after I spent all of class on it. She saw how proud I was of it and she tried to make me think it was bad. I was in second grade. All of my class mates seeing what had happened said it was good and that I should be proud of it.
