I love the swimmer example, because it's so good to keep in mind. A good swimmer will go to bed on time to rest, eat a good meal, keep hydrated and take SOLID DAYS OFF to swim at full capacity. So why would we, for example while trying to keep up with a productivity-related habit, ignore sleep, food, and time off? Why isolate this part of our lives?
The analogy was a great one. Actually, when you do future videos, can you keep this type of video in mind? I have ADHD, and something simple like an analogy, helped me follow the main topic easily.

I recently learned myself how metaphors and analogies can be super helpful for us. The "how to ADHD" channel does it a lot and it helps me remember and keep the concept in mind. I think it's because we are visual thinkers, as so much of our working memory is already occupied with other things, we need to "see" things with our minds almost. I feel you 💖

I really needed to hear this today. I’ve felt so overwhelmed with wanting to begin a new costume project, but juggling work, schooling, and any other habits I decide to take on each month. After listening to this, my passion is the cosplaying. Work is necessary so I can buy materials, and my schooling can be shortened to just a few classes. All of the other random habits I’m trying to force in the month, basically just to stay busy, can be wiped from the agenda. I am not currently passionate about learning to play an instrument, so why have it on my list this month if it doesn’t bring me joy? Thank you, Love. This was truly an eye opening video. ☺️💜💚
Wow! I love that you say this, and I relate so much to it too. I had to let go of regular guitar practice to make space as well.. It’s tough, but I can’t imagine playing often enough to get as good as I want, I don’t have the time. I think you doing costume making is soooo cool (I have 0 experience in it)! And it must be a very time consuming thing paired with school and work too, so I actually think you’re a badass! You can definitely cut yourself some slack ❤️
Aww! Thank you for asking! I did feel very burned out from the extra work of freelancing and felt like I need to travel and stay off the internet for a while. It did me so well, but I missed connecting with others on here a lot ❤️ I have some videos planned for a long time that are coming now and I think they will be awesome!
