I'm sad that this season is considered a flop because it is genuinely one of my favorite shows I've ever watched/completed period and definitely my favorite precure season
Go Princess was only ever made so that Toei could catch on to the princess boom after Frozen was super successful in Japan, it’s like Japan’s koala boom in the early to mid 80’s which resulted in Nippon Animation doing Noozles and TopCraft (the studio that became Studio Ghibli) doing Adventures of the Little Koala, a little history for Azenzone
I’m actually on Go! Princess right now. It’s kind of funny to be honest. Both Cure Twinkle and Cure Summer’s va are in a Precure season with the same character designer, and they also are in the same Kiratto PriChan season. Summer’s va being Alice Peperoncino and Twinkle’s va being Luluna.
I love the Utena references this season. the teacher that scolds Haruka is pretty similar to the one who scolds Utena in episode one. Both Utena and Haruka receive an item from a prince in childhood. Kanata and the prince look similar too
Yes! I was so excited to see this review! Go Princess is my favorite Precure season! It has the best, most consistent fight animation of the entire franchise, and it produced my favorite Cure and fairy mascot, that being Cure Flora and Pafu. (Which has now been equaled and somewhat surpassed by Cure Grace and Rabblin.) Pafu has the cutest and best fairy design (IMO), and I really took to Cure Flora and how hard she worked to make her dreams come true. I found her really admirable, in that she was always open to trying new things, and she wasn't instantly good at anything, and they took the time to show her putting in the time to practice, and we see how she gradually gets better and grows over time. I also really liked how we had a normal civilian who was let in on the secret, and she never became a Cure. And yet, she still feels like a contributing member of the team. I've been checking in on your channel from time to time; watching your overviews and episode-by-episode reviews as I've gone through every Precure season. And now that I'm caught up and ready to begin Tropical Rouge, I finally subscribed. You have a quality production value in your videos, and you do so much research into every show you cover. Keep up the awesome work!
Remember back when everyone took this season with salt thinking it will be like Disney Princesses and say goodbye to fights? Good times. I believe they did try to abandon Tokusatsu completely by KiraKira. Even Mahou Tsukai had stuff like "Drill Kick".
Wow, had no idea how many lines Kirara borrowed from her older brother series. Ah yes, Go! Princess! The prime of modern Pretty Cure. The characters are splendid and so is the action!!Tbh, I actually like the cgi attacks. Mostly because of how different they are. That being said, I can understand why some might not. I’m really grateful for you covering this season. It’s great seeing the high quality fight that we’ll be later robbed of in some of the seasons that followed after. Can’t wait for the follow up videos. Great review, Adam!
Sadly, there are people who don't learn the potential of Go Princess, and the series just keep on dropping further and further down, and becoming more and more shallow despite the large setting, until the Reiwa era kicks in.
@@Addition2 Tell me about it, especially when it comes to screen time because good Lord are later seasons bad at giving characters opportunities to shine or making them equally relevant. It’s always one or a few Cures over the other. Healin Good is a great exception, Hinata’s short stick aside.
Go Princess was really an perfect season in Precure. I really loved its development, characters, and BGM. Cure Twinkle was my favorite cure in that season. Excellent review Azenzone-san
It's actually one of the worst. Tanked Season with no Memorable Characters. If we're gonna talk about Perfect Season, it still Heartcatch followed by Fresh.
@@siegeslander9759 How in the world do you say that Go princess is "one of the worst seasons" and then say that fresh is one of the best? Are you joking?
WAIT WAIT WAIT! SO YOUR TELLING ME ONE OF THE BEST PRECURE SEASONS AIRED IN THE SAME YEAR AS ONE OF THE WORST SENTAI!? I guess drive was carrying all the weight that year
@@leonardofarias8843 I haven’t watched it but US counterpart, Ninja Steel, isn’t all that great either. Ryusoulger is Dino Fury, right? Oh Freakin Ultra Cure, will that season suck too?
@@nintendolife25 So far they already brought Gaisorg (the purple bad ranger) way earlier than Ryusoulger so maybe Hasbro will improve that series. What sucked about Ryusoulger was that the story was rushed as hell the first 20 episodes and the conflict of the episode was sometimes very, and I say, VERY repetitive: "Oh no. Should I save this child/my friend/victim of the week or the entire population?....Let's do both!" and they came up with a bs strategy. It got very....VERY tiring this thing about chivary.
I think I can forgive the dress episode because sometimes, bodging it does work. And this was Haruka's project. She was going to succeed or fail on her own. Besides, this series makes few things easy on her. We haven't even scratched the surface of what she'll be put through. The issue I can see is this was the Brave Little Toaster series. On the surface, it was about pretty little princesses like BLT was about talking appliances. Sounds like lighthearted fun. Then you see the actual product. Both are awesome, but I can see why parents would be a little squeamish about them. Add to the fact it was a general down year and it was being crowd by what likely inspired them to do it in the first, and it was just too cool to last. But I still love this series. I love the characters, I love the animation. Though, it figures probably the most expensive Cure series would end up bombing so hard. Still, toy sales (or lack thereof) shouldn't be taken as a sign of quality. And, finally, I say the Princesses should team up with the Tropical Rouge team for their movie. Same character designer and we'd have the meeting of the Mermaids. It's almost like they were planning for it.
Pretty much like Gaim, how has a fruit motif for the riders, and while at the beginning it is comical in nature, it quickly became one of the most darkest Kamen Rider series of all time.
Indeed, if someone grew up with parents who put in little effort in everything (and led to a type of trauma), would they be willing to pass help to someone else even if it was someone they knew?
I’m so excited for this! This is one of my favourite seasons. I’m also glad you decided to review it again, I remember watching the original one years ago (when I first discovered your channel).
I wouldn't say that this season was a flop, it remains iconic and the backround music are one of the bests in the franchise. I think that Happiness Charge had a worse destiny in merchandising compared to Go! Princess. But, again, maybe I'm defending it too much because it's my favourite. Too bad that such an amazing group had received the worst welcome in the All Stars saga, Haru no Carnival is a movie to forget... and, in my opinion, if the stand-alone movie had only the central plot but extended, it would have been even more awsome
Go Princess Precure was the first season I watched first to last as it was airing. I got into HapCha towards episode 20 but missed out on it in favour of watching older seasons. What truly won me over in Go!Pri was Haruka's dream, I also wanted to be a princess as a child (in spirit) and could relate to being bullied. Having a figure like Kanata would've meant so much to me, though it never happened, I'm glad some kids get that support. Of course, Minami and Towa really resonated with me, and inspired me to go into ornithology and marine biology. This season meant a lot to me. In 2015 some terrible things were going down in my personal life, but every week I would look forward to a new Precure episode. As dumb as it sounds, Princess Precure truly did save a 12-year old me. Also it has best boys Lock and Kuroro so that was an added bonus
Nice! I recently finished watching it, and it was so good. The only thing I didn't like was the CGI for the first ending: Cure Flora's face at the 'utsukushiku' line still haunts my nightmares.
Nice, a new AzenZone video. Oh, it's an hour long? Let's get some snacks and strap down with this. ALSO I SEE NODOKA IN YOUR INTRO NOW EEEEYYYYEEAH! I really like when you review older precure seasons, since it gives me some insight on the seasons I didn't get to watch/have no time or desire to watch. I always knew Kira would be my favorite cure, and by gosh darn. She is awesome, I love her. I'm so glad I got to see... Mr. Brave Donut
Although not my absolute favorite season (the award goes to Yes!5), it is very significant to me personally. 1) I tried watching Doki Doki and HappiCha weekly, but I lost interest quickly, yet I stuck with Go!Princess till the end and haven't missed an episode of this franchise since. I wouldn't be such a big PreCure nerd if it wasn't for this anime, it had that big of an impact. 2) Inspired to tell the complicated and kind of a letdown story of Haruka and Kanata, I began making PreCure AMVs... which somehow morphed into the main content of my channel. For me, it is always such a thrill to try to present the potential of PreCure ships in a short story-driven music video.~
It’s weird because this season always thematically and story wise reminds me of Revolutionary Girl Utena the whole princess and fairytale aspect and some of the character designs as well as visual aspects like the spinning roses in Utena and spinning lace in Go Princess
Yeah. There was this review that linked it with Utena, but got too carried away with the Utena references for me to actually enjoy it.... at least state that in the title
Great video as always! I'm currently watching Kira Kira, but Go Pri easily became one of my favorite seasons (6th specifically) Despite the 6th ranger being my favorite, I have to admit that the first episodes are my favorites because of how well they manged the princess and dreams themes so well. This is just the tip of the iceberg for the cures, but even in these episodes they made so many good things for them in their characterization Yui... I actually love Yui more than any of the cures... Don't kill me... And the villains just start to get more promissing as the series goes on. And the animation of this season is just espectacular So yeah, Go Pri is one of the best precure seasons and this is just ths start of the series, it sure has its flaws specially in the half or 3/4 of the series, but it has so many positive traits that you can actually ignore the negative ones
rewatching this season made me realize there are a lot of similarities between this and Revolutionary girl Utena, which is kind of weird because if you think about it it wouldn't be the first time Precure "borrows" ideas for their other seasons from other Magical girl shows
I'm waiting for a Precure Season that take inspiration from Bewitched, an American Sitcom who's somehow Credited on Influencing the Mahou Shoujo Genre.
Well, well! One of my favorite seasons finally coming to light in another review~ That being said, I really love this season a lot. Despite some of it's flaws, I think it's one of few Precure seasons to have such a strong story since Doki Doki. I could gush all day, but you can really tell they were trying to make something special here and think for the most part, they made on of the strongest seasons out there. I truly think this anime is underappreciated within the community. I think the Princess aspects turns people away, but once you get down to it, it's more of a motif rather than the focus of the story and that becomes clearer later on. INCOMING TOY RANT AHEAD: Sadly, the toy sales aren't really indicative of that success story wise. Yes, I know it's easy for people to say "toys don't matter!" but when your franchise makes bank on that aspect...something needs to give. They need to make back revenue somehow so that point is moot. However, there could've been a better way to incorporate it despite the hefty competition. **Variety.** To be fair, it's the same problem with HG in which the toys/gimmicks used aren't that interesting in hindsight. The bottles/elementals are cool, but they don't really add much to show other than for their established gimmick. I think since even Futari wa, Pretty Cure has struggled trying to balance these elements in mind. Too much focus on the toys/powerups and you get a HpCh situation. Too little focus and you end up with a solid Precure season (this) but not a lot to choose from in terms of merch. From a collector's perspective, I wouldn't see myself choosing these keys/bottle over the Ojamajo's transformation devices and previous season's gimmick items so to speak. **They're just kind of boring.** Like...they're just keys that open a perfume bottle? Compare that to Heartcatch in which the perfume bottle **WAS** the gimmick but at least it had more of a purpose. The keys are interchangeable and so much so that they probably would've benefitted from one main key with an upgrade versus several of them for a bigger price tag. While I do love this season, I also wish they had better merch because Go! Princess is lacking in that regard in terms of magical girl transformation stuff. If you ask me, the idea is not the problem, the execution is in terms of merch. Overall, a great review. Sorry for the tangent, but I had to get that off my chest.
Honestly, when decided to make a theme out of the most cliched perspective of a female audience as well as a marketing ploy from one of the most evil cooperations to date, I don’t think anyone expected to be this damn good. I’m glad I watched it when I was getting into Precure because it’s just one of the best!
@@nintendolife25 And this is why I think having a GOOD Precure video game would be a good idea. But of course they rather create games that would be targeted to kindergardeners.
@@Addition2 To be fair, Pretty Cure actually is targeted to kindergartners but damn wouldn’t it be awesome to have a Dynasty Warriors or hack and slash games with them. It sucks too because the first few Precure games were beat ‘em ups.
@@nintendolife25 Yeah, I know right. I even remembered there is poll that asked what series would you like to see becoming a Musou game. And the majority picked Precure. Sadly that never happened. There are fan screenshots, but it's just that, fanworks. And somehow Kamen Rider gets that treatment.
I do kind of miss the old precure where the generals were still simply stepping stones to be used and thrown away at the leisure like in the first half of Futari wa season 1 or Splash Star or even season 1 of Yes! 5. True, they didn't get much development, but they were given more freedom to do what they wanted and then simply no longer be a thing to allow the next general to shine. I kind of hope someday they come back to this formula (like they seem to have tried to do in Mahoutsukai Precure somewhat) in some future PreCure.
I can't wait for Part 2 of this for Twilight's introduction. there's going to be a lot of My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic and My Little Pony Equestria Girls Friendship Games references for that review. Also why Yui didn't become a Precure?!? Like that's magical girl 101 if the friend of the main character finds out that their friend is secretly a magical girl than they become one.
I believe Yui becoming a cure would have ruined the season. Throughout Go!Pri we see the protagonists achieve their dreams with them being Precure, overcoming obstacles as Precure that is, obviously, exclusive to being a Precure. Yui was there to show that even without a legendary warrior fight, your dreams matter, and you can make just as big a difference as the Precure themselves. Though she totally would've been a green cure and I would love to see a design of it
@@kellyjohana516 yes,but its not as much of a hinderance to the story now or later on as he is making sound like, in a way ALL of them are chosen ones because the keys "founded" them, Haruka's just so happend to do it earlier
Yay, Go Princess was my first full PreCure series as I discovered the series through AMVs in my last year of high school and first time in college. Also, boo, in my opinion, this is one of the best seasons.
Everytime I see that scene where Haruka twisted her ankle I wince a little as it was a common occurrence with me growing up. Not because of missteps or sports accidents, but more because as i was growing up, the bones in my feet kept shifting out of alignment to the point where when I was 21 the pain from my feet radiated into my lower back. I was coming home everyday from working 18 hours a week at officemax in tears and often falling over from my legs locking up at the kneecaps because of the pain having built up for so long. If i didn't get surgery on my feet in 2015 after my local Officemax shut down months earlier, i wouldn't have been able to walk again, as the doctors said. My parents still blame themselves for originally not understanding the pain i was going through, especially when they kept telling me to take pain pills to the point they just wouldn't work anymore. And to give a visual aid to how my feet were aligned... Here is how bones in a normal foot are aligned |-big toe | |-heel And here was how the bones in my feet were aligned just before surgery... \-big toe / \-heel
I have bought soo much Precure merch over the past 11 years, but Go Princess was the season that took most of my money. Really sad that it didn’t do well in sales though.
As i said during your Smile! review i think the precure fairies (aside from the Heartcatch fairies, Ha-Chan, and Hugtan) are actually born from eggs and are more like energy constructs hense their shapeshifting potential and why they take on different animal forms since it was how the energy that makes up their physical form was able to more comfortably take on when they first hatch. I understand we will never get a true explanation in universe because who wants to put so much thought into worldbuilding in shows that profit off of selling toys, but it's still fun to speculate on when you know how to switch your brain off to the blatant toy sales. Heck i am currently working on a process to sort of "reverse" the toyetic process in the toy designs so that we as the audience can see what some of the macguffins could look like if it wasn't at all focused on selling toys while still being a show made for kids to enjoy. Think of it like turning the toys into stuff that could've come from shows like Avatar the last airbender or code lyoko. Sure they could still market them for toy sales but it was more often than not an after thought to telling the story. Granted most of what i have are just tablet/phone cases, make up pacts, and more realistic looking instrument weapons that within the universe could function the same way as the actual toys.
No, my bad it was the Healin' Good episode 18 review i left that theory on (alongside how the romances between the mascots and humans could work)! So many comments that I have left in the past i lost track lol.
54:42 A suggestion for a clip you can use for the next part is Mr. Potts’s final words in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, where he says a man should put his dreams to practical use.
This is next series on my to-watch list (my friend watched it and really reccomends it) when it comes to not currently aired seasons so I won't be viewing your reviews for it past introduction segment. I'm suprised to find out it was a flop. The art is beautiful and i heard there are many very well animated segments. Something about character design (especially faces - proportions, eye shape of Kirara is almost the same as Reis) and expressions reminds me of classic Sailor Moon that is one of my favourite shows.
Go Princess is one of my most favorite Precure series of all time, and it is a shame that it is because of some oversensitive parents, who can't have their babies watched some action in a magical girl anime franchise that has shown action in almost a decade. And such as shame as this series has one of the best action scenes in the franchise thus far. I also thinking that maybe Healin' Good might end up like that, but that is another reason why that series fall, and it is not Toei's fault entirely. I also like this series actually SHOW actions that would tell the story, rather than just telling us. Even the small gestures like Kirara and Minami's greetings showed their personality. And above all this series is so much fun to watch. To be honest, I am also surprised that they defeated the 1st general that quickly, because before then, most of the generals are defeated by the end of the series. So this is a welcoming surprise to me. The change of the opening adds a lot more detail, and the transformation scenes are very beautiful to look at. Who would've thought that a princess theme Precure series would be my most favorite, despite me being an adult male who has little interests in princesses in animated shows for little girls. P.S. I sorta look at Go Princess as the Gaim of the Precure franchise, even the transformation items resemble the Energy Riders transformation belts.
Princess is a great watch for me too! I’m so glad I watched this while I was getting into Precure. The action, the characters, the visuals,.....it’s like the Super Mario Odyssey of Precure (Only not as successful. The poor staff behind this show...). Little did I know the fights wouldn’t get any better than this. Thank goodness for the movies (Specifically Maho and Star Twinkle) and Healin Good. Btw, I’m on the 12th episode of Kamen Rider Zero One. I’m loving it so far!
@@nintendolife25 I am glad that you are enjoying Zero One, and hey, you are very close to the ending of the 1st arc. But please bear with the 2nd arc, because.... it is kind of tough to get through.
@@nintendolife25 Just bear with it, it isn't really that bad, it is just a bit long and hard to get through. You'll see what I mean when you get to that point. But when you DO get through that arc, things will be much sweeter later till the end. Think of it like the Asumi arc in Healin' Good.
Oh, im going to take some popcorn 🤣anyways, i liked this season. I find the animations, Character designs and fights very good! Sometimes, Fights scared me a lot 😅
The one Season where I actually watch each episode when they are released instead of complete ignored it until the last couple episodes before it finished, It was my favorite ever
1 part down. 99 cans of monster and red bull to go to finish the next 3 parts lol Yeah while I heard about the controversy which honestly says more about angry parents overreacting and people thought American parents over react lol but I don't know what that says about the JP fan base since going by most of the JP comments on the JP users here on RUclips alone it's mostly been positive but then again it's just RUclips and not really a reliable source of JP info in how what they thought of princess precure and 2015 was a lot of odd trends changing especially in how people chose to watch anime. The first quarter certainly blew me away and also that ore sanjou reference was something I never noticed before XD Won't lie that out of all the magical girl shows I've seen this is one that definitely threw multiple haruka ships at least till a certain fire based princess cure would come along and take kirara lol still thoughit is fun to see haruka in I think love square unless I missed some people who the community often shipped her with especially with how even now some still wonder who she was looking at in the final episode lol To close this out.... Anyone who wants to support Marie Antoinette becoming a full on magical girl in FGO or getting a precure role in the future are to comment with #magicalgirlmarie and direct it to Azen for support where in case this fails he can take responsibility for the idea lol
Yeah about Kamen Rider Ghost...let me rant about this. The sad part about that series was how Toei really screwed it by airing it along with a much more adult rated Amazons. Worst part, Amazons caught steam which was noticed by Toei and thus putting more budget on it than the MAIN series itself to the point that even Ghost's final form suit was unfortunately delayed forcing the writers to partially debut it in the most weirdest way possible! The repercussions of this not only affected the shows general standing in franchise, it also somewhat ruined the head writer's reputation due to how the story unfolded. Thankfully, the head writer was given a second chance with Saber and so far, its looking pretty good. Now on to the Go Princess review, its one of my favorite seasons. I like the cures and their personalities. This season also provides one of the more likeable male characters in the franchise in Kanata and a really good side character in Yui. Designs are also one of my favorites in general and story is one of the best in my opinion. Its just sad to know that a few moms ruined the image of this series that also led to how future seasons are treated.
Don't know how do you manage to do so many videos in a shory amount of time. I also wasn't expecting Amazons to even be mentiomed. For the show. While still.to early to say it does bring in question the princess role which is I really liked reagarding haruka. Also the irony that both Amazon Omega and Cure Flora habe the same name
Hey Azen, if you want a kamen rider trinket to associate with Princess, i suggest the ridewatches since Sougo wanted to be a King like the main cure of Princess wanted to be a princess.
Yeah Go Princess was a good series, but for me it’s not a great one. I recently rewatched this show and I got some good and bad things to say about this specific season. As for right now this first quarter was pretty good. We got some great characterization for all of the cures and for some side characters. Though I will admit that Haruka got quite a bit of development from these first 12 episodes, and while I find that understandable it’s kinda weird that Minami and Kirara didn’t really do much except inspire Haruka and to help her on her journey to become a princess. Thankfully they will start taking a more proactive role in the second quarter but still they kinda got subtle bits of development outside of their debut episodes. And outside of the action scenes (which are the best parts of this entire series) these were some ok sets of episodes. The only ones that really stood out to me were episodes 4 and 5 which gave a proper debut to my favorite cure this season! Other than that the rest were fine. Sorry if I’m coming off as a buzz killer I just have a different perspective of this “S” tier season.
People had trouble about the final battle since they think the pink hog all the screentime but for me it was obvious and not surprising that it was flora close solo battle

OMG~~~ FINALLY~~~! One of the best seasons of the franchise has come to be reviewed~~ YAAAAAAAAAY >w< Yes...You can already tell I’m a die hard fan to this season in particular, besides Futari Wa, Splash Star, Heartcatch and Smile. GoPri is one of the best ones to date. The setting is great, the devices are great (reminds me of Kingdom Hearts with all of the key references~) and the characters~? Oh Where do I begin... Like seriously, its one thing for me to describe a bad character in full detail but the best ones such as this? Come on now look at it~ Both heroes and villains are great (Yes Close gets killed off too quickly, that I’m surprised...buuuuut...nope. Not gonna say that. I’m just hyping up for Twilight~ =v=). yeah granted, back then I laughed it off in terms of its theme, considering how are they going to fight in that outfit, especially their Mode:Elegants, but then the fight scenes happened. It surprised me. They’re THAT great. It’s just too bad that the parents don’t see it that way at the time, claiming that it’s “too violent” for the kids to watch. Uhhhh...TOO VIOLENT MY A**! Have u seen the older seasons?! They’re waaaaay more brutal than you think. No wonder seasons after this one went crappy, combat wise...some of them but not all (looking at you Hugtto and HGP...though the latter gets mainly on average due to...obvious reasons). I’m still pissed at that =H=## That aside, I can’t wait for this season to review more into depth~~ This is gonna be fun~~~
@ZipShyGuy SuperStar yeah. Hugtto has some issues too in terms of being inconsistent in terms of combat. It’s awesome at first...then gradually goes to eh

I guess drive was carrying all the weight that year
2016 wasn't any better...
Ryusoulger was way worse than Ninninger
@@leonardofarias8843 I haven’t watched it but US counterpart, Ninja Steel, isn’t all that great either. Ryusoulger is Dino Fury, right? Oh Freakin Ultra Cure, will that season suck too?
drive doesn't have issue for me but nininger yes alot like a little
@@nintendolife25 So far they already brought Gaisorg (the purple bad ranger) way earlier than Ryusoulger so maybe Hasbro will improve that series.
Indeed, if someone grew up with parents who put in little effort in everything (and led to a type of trauma), would they be willing to pass help to someone else even if it was someone they knew?
im so excited by fav season of precure !
I miss Go Princess so much! It’s my favorite season and means so much to me!
@@domingadoflaminga3961 I know which review your talking about. I saw that one and he totally did go overboard with all the Utena references lol
@Jeffery Tang witchy precure???
5:55 this is Precure people with naturally colorful hair is extremely common
Great video as always! I'm currently watching Kira Kira, but Go Pri easily became one of my favorite seasons (6th specifically) Despite the 6th ranger being my favorite, I have to admit that the first episodes are my favorites because of how well they manged the princess and dreams themes so well.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for the cures, but even in these episodes they made so many good things for them in their characterization
Yui... I actually love Yui more than any of the cures... Don't kill me...
And the villains just start to get more promissing as the series goes on. And the animation of this season is just espectacular
So yeah, Go Pri is one of the best precure seasons and this is just ths start of the series, it sure has its flaws specially in the half or 3/4 of the series, but it has so many positive traits that you can actually ignore the negative ones
rewatching this season made me realize there are a lot of similarities between this and Revolutionary girl Utena, which is kind of weird because if you think about it it wouldn't be the first time Precure "borrows" ideas for their other seasons from other Magical girl shows
I'm waiting for a Precure Season that take inspiration from Bewitched, an American Sitcom who's somehow Credited on Influencing the Mahou Shoujo Genre.
Well, well! One of my favorite seasons finally coming to light in another review~
That being said, I really love this season a lot.
INCOMING TOY RANT AHEAD:
Sadly, the toy sales aren't really indicative of that success story wise. Yes, I know it's easy for people to say "toys don't matter!" but when your franchise makes bank on that aspect...something needs to give. They need to make back revenue somehow so that point is moot. However, there could've been a better way to incorporate it despite the hefty competition. **Variety.**
To be fair, it's the same problem with HG in which the toys/gimmicks used aren't that interesting in hindsight.
@@Addition2 I guess it will be nothing more than a pipe dream. Personally, I think the franchise can pull it off.....with the right devs.
With the happiness charge I have not seen it but I bet I'll only like the art style and where courage is born
Kirara: you ruined my fashion show!
Close: SCREW YOUR SHOW!!
yeah he really is a treasure because he straight up doesn't give a damn!
The Early Seasons are like a Video Game single player.
That ashita no joe reference really killed me at that time.
Go! Princess Pretty Cur was the series that got me into Pretty Cure so it was always have a special place in my heart.
I just finished the series too. Thank you!

@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian and I am referring to the Japanese version of The Lego Movie
Though she totally would've been a green cure and I would love to see a design of it
I think youre making a mountain of a mole-hill with the "Haruka the chosen one" bit, expecially compared to other pinks
Well, you don't notice it earlier in the show but that Dress Up Key literally came to Haruka so yes "Haruka the Chosen One".
@@kellyjohana516 yes,but its not as much of a hinderance to the story now or later on as he is making sound like, in a way ALL of them are chosen ones because the keys "founded" them, Haruka's just so happend to do it earlier
Bc she does? The season is just literally about her. The over emphasized on her character made this season unbearable to watch.
Yes you finally review my favourite season
2:00 may aswell add the fact 2015 was also the year toei overly hastily rushed dragon ball super into production onto that pile
This is my second favorite precure series after Smile precure, and Dokidoki precure.
Yay, Go Princess was my first full PreCure series as I discovered the series through AMVs in my last year of high school and first time in college. Also, boo, in my opinion, this is one of the best seasons.
YASSS MY FAV SEASON EVER! SO EXCITED
Here is how bones in a normal foot are aligned

I have bought soo much Precure merch over the past 11 years, but Go Princess was the season that took most of my money. Really sad that it didn’t do well in sales though.
26:34 is that Gurio Umino ?
Yes i was waiting for this
19:05 I’m defeated!
27:49 and I known her in the English version I watched old Toonami and her English va is sound similar
Plus one vote for the Doujinshi review
Just realized the VA for Kasei in psycho pass is the same lady as the VA for Dyspear.
She also voiced Queen Nehellenia in Sailor Moon SuperS, another Mahou Shoujo show about dreams.
Obligatory danganronpa joke here, and away we go! Good work as always, if you ask me.

Yeah while I heard about the controversy which honestly says more about angry parents overreacting and people thought American parents over react lol but I don't know what that says about the JP fan base since going by most of the JP comments on the JP users here on RUclips alone it's mostly been positive but then again it's just RUclips and not really a reliable source of JP info in how what they thought of princess precure and 2015 was a lot of odd trends changing especially in how people chose to watch anime.
The first quarter certainly blew me away and also that ore sanjou reference was something I never noticed before XD

OMG~~~ FINALLY~~~!
One of the best seasons of the franchise has come to be reviewed~~ YAAAAAAAAAY >w<
Yes...You can already tell I’m a die hard fan to this season in particular, besides Futari Wa, Splash Star, Heartcatch and Smile.
I’m still pissed at that =H=##
That aside, I can’t wait for this season to review more into depth~~ This is gonna be fun~~~
