I want to ask you a question: I am a bass-baritone, a C#2 being my lowest and I cannot reach higher than an E4 so I have trouble singing this song. Although songs such as "Love Me Tender" are suitable for my range, I really need to know how to expand my range, and this is frustrating me. How did you manage to get such a large vocal range? Do you use any sort of vocal technique for expanding your range? Thanks.
hi Danny, thanks for your kind compliment and your questions. talking about the range and tone, i'm a Tenor voc. my highest note is B4 and lowest at G2. i had no trainer, everything was self-taught, i tried to copy many, many singers. some of them were toooo high pitch for me tho, such as Air Supply, Scorpions, and i can't find the way to sing that high note. in your case, in my oppinion, there's not many way to climb to the higher note out of your range (so do i, i can't sing Tom Jones cause there're too many high notes, and i can't sing Ed Ames cause of the low notes). you better change the key lower to suitable your range, that's the very best thing you could do with it (at your age). i also had problem with my range when i was 17, i can't control it good. glad to know young Elvis fan like you!! keep rocking. i'm not a vocal trainer but i hope my information might help you some 😄 good luck bro
