Hello sir I have unusual problem .
Pore as I am I own old Opel Ascona C 1.3 L model I got starter motor from friend how ever that starter motor is not for opel but for golf disel engine .
Evry thing look nearly identical bouth are magnet type starter motors but the golf starter has gears in it.
I tried to merge parts even I asume the golf starter motor tirns in oposite direction so I solved that be cutting 2 insulated brush holder and make all 4 brushes insulated and took out the case 2 leads .
So I solved starter motor direction it looks like evry thing fits perfectly together .
But I come across another problem the bendix from the golf has counter grewe's drilled in oposite direction so the bendix rotation does not match to me old opel starter bendix.
So what does this mean?
Wuld me engine still rotate ore not?
Ore car the bendix as well be modified to turn another direction ore removeing those internal parts from the bendix wuld that help?
