    How things have changed.. I'm 75.years young.. When I was in High School (lower north shore in Sydney) The Army Cadets had an armoury Containing a100 plus 303s, a couple of Bren guns a mortar and ammo. We also had a dozen or so 303s bored for 22 cal which we used to shoot at a 25 yd. range belonging to a neighbouring school. --- There was not one injury...

    You guys really need access to simi-auto to do this.

    • @juleswhicker
      @juleswhicker 4 месяца назад +7

      Even with interrupted-cycle and pump-action systems, you have to change hold between shots, which means you can't transition instantly and consistently from one target to the next. Semi-auto enables this. You can see how quickly the camels can move off into the bush. Under pressure to connect before the camels are out of shot, Jack tries to compensate for the mechanical handicap by paring back his aiming time. Often this causes him to miss. Semi-auto would give him back the extra half second of aiming time between shots that's often the difference between missing and killing. Jack and Danny have to travel many miles and commit many hours to getting the camels in the cross hairs for a few brief seconds, so anything that lets them make the most of that investment and those time constraints is valuable. It is worse than stupid to handicap such dedicated and skilled workers In this way.

    Nice Sesame Street reference there Jack, barely came across as sinister lol. I'm liking the reports you're giving about thermal scope use. I bought the PARD DS35/70 from ASA based partly on your experience with it, tbh agree with you on the initial zoom level of 5.6x being a bit much, 4x would been better, 3x even more so. Ahh well, first NV purchase - likely will put it on the 22LR for night time coup de grace's, if a bunny pops up or I'm at a dam and the night has been dead and there's lots of flaming cane toads to practise my aiming on!

Would have to disagree with some of the comments about Danny's rifle pointing up after each shot (even though it would make better viewing) I think the more time a rifle spends pointing up and not level the better. It looks to me that he has been well trained (he is no dope).

    I can only imagine the work y'all could do with a good suppressed AR10 and Magpul D50. It'd be a lot more humane for the camels.
    I'm surprised the company that makes the wedge tail hasn't made an AR10 based setup similar to the speedline. That seems like it'd be more effective than the pump if the ergos on the bolt release were right.

      I won't mention the Pop singers name, but where he lived they had a wild bore problem. So, he had his land semi fenced, then with the aid of beaters they drove out every wild boar on his land, then sealed the fencing. His neighbours then had the wild boar problem, while the pop singing joined to protests of shooting animals, this was in our UK Devon area.

      @@haydenbretton2990 so he pushed his small problem onto someone else luckily jack isn't a asshole and knows that if he pushed the camels onto other properties they would have to deal with it and the bush would be eaten out there causing the remaining camels to come back hundreds of horse size animals eating everything in sight is a major issue considering fencing doesn't slow them down

    Access to semi automatic rifles for effectiveness and access to supressors for workplace health and safety concerns are both essential to you, other primary producers and professional shooters. Considering in regard to suppressors, the new US military service rifle is suppressed for WHS reasons and the argument against having them is for safety for the community, even though they are comically easy to make and install. Criminals using firearms illegally wouldn't likely worry about another charge for using an illegal suppressor. As you said, it doesn't fit with politicians narrative or agenda

    I believe you track the number of feral animal kills, do you also keep track of the number of man hours hours you spend managing them? I'm guessing you are in the 100s if not 1000s hours a year?
